I'm here almost once a month, sometimes more. This is by far my favorite campground close to Los Angeles! It's beautiful scenery, great large campsites, clean bathrooms, friendly camp hosts, and amazing prices!

The California rains have made this place more green than I can convey, and our most gorgeous camp spot so far. Lake is overflowing! The campground is very well-maintained. Staff maintains an active and consistent presence, which I think is great for a few reasons. There seems to be much pride in grounds maintenance and it shows! I had a problem with my sewer line (line from person before me broke off, which prevented me from hooking up) and the staff was there in under a minute to rectify the situation. All bathrooms were clean and even smelled nice. The full hook up spots are wide and spacious. Our site, # 20, was mostly level, only slightly low on one side. Also, due to the rain, a lot of DG has been placed on the campsites which helps with leveling and cleanliness. Tent campsites, or non-hook up sites, are full of grass at the moment, which also keeps things cool and tidy.

We usually camp out in state parks or more remotely, but my sister in law and I wanted something close for a weekend, and she needed full hookups for their 36 foot rig. Some sites are super packed together, but if you pick your spot along the back side up against the hillside, or in the lower oaks area, it can be really nice. We were there in April, and had a couple of days of freakishly hot 98 deg F weather - so thank goodness we had power for the A/C! We had a really nice weekend just relaxing and exploring, our dogs LOVED the dog park.
The camp hosts were really helpful and can sell you ice or bring quarters if needed. The upper bathrooms were really clean, the shower was nice and almost too hot at first. The shower costs $1.50 for 8 minutes and additional quarters get you 1 min & 20 seconds.
I can see how it could be a bit crazy and crowded, especially on summer weekends, but it was about 1/3 full when we went, and that was fine. The camp hosts were good at quieting down any loud music.
We paid $50 per day for full hookups plus $3 per dog per day. However there are 10% discounts available to AAA, so that helps. They have a lot of discounts listed on a pdf of their camping page, but you have to ask for them when you book, or request a refund like I did.
There was NO cell reception on our T-Mobile nor Verizon phones. There is Wifi available that is decent (I don't know if you could game or stream on it, but it was fine for texts and browsing) for free for 20 min per day, or $9 per full day, or $20 per week. Since we were there for 4 days I did the weekly and it worked fine the whole time.
I would go again, it was easy and close. I was told that during olive season campers are welcome to pick olives, so I may just do that.

The woman who came to greet us when we got set up was nice. No Verizon service. 11/20/18.
The spaces are very tricky to get into for large rigs!
If someone comes in late at night looking for their spot you can listen to them driving around forever.
The lake is pretty, what’s left of it, after the drought.
Kids seem to enjoy riding bikes and the views are pretty.
Can’t imagine what it’s like if it rains! Yuk!

We stayed here two different times this past summer for one night each time. The sites are plenty wide so we had lots of room for both our trailer and the truck to park side by side with lots of room left over to sit at the picnic table
Our problem with the campground was there was no one to enforce the rules. We saw the campground hosts until about dusk then they went back to their spot not to be seen again. Both nights we had groups at nearby campsites being loud and obnoxious late into the night.
There was no one to complain to so I had to make them quite down myself and it did not go well. Let's just say it was a good thing that we were leaving very early in the morning
Without better campground hosts to enforce the rules we would not stay there again and would not recommend this campground

I had to stay here not by my own choice, but it turned out to do the job just fine. It's quiet, and off the beaten path. Deer are pretty tame and walk around constantly. I was in site 18, which is one of the only ones that doesn't have a spot right next to it. I had brush and a volleyball court on the other side.
What I liked most about the campground was that I could walk behind my site immediately into places I could take my dogs immediately off leash. In addition, down that road a little, there's a green park with lots of trees and picnic tables. Beyond THAT, there is a fenced in grassy dog park. Very nice.
They have showers but they are paid showers, by the minute. This helps to conserve water as well as move people along during busy times.
The hosts were super nice and the CG has a relaxed vibe, at least it did when I was there. They weren't idiotic about getting you to pay immediately or just after check out time if you were still there. That's really nice. You could pick your own spot. They were just very accommodating. For a campground. 😆
What else? Oh, I had perfect internet with my ATT Mobley, but there is NO Verizon there. You will lose it on the windy road coming in.
It's about 30 min from Santa Clarita which has all the stores and amenities you would ever need.
The cg roads are paved, the sites are dirt. Solar isn't great as you are pretty close to the nearby hills, so I only had sun from around 9-3:30 or so. Then there's brush around a lot of sites, too.
I was dry camping. Had I looked/known that electric sites were only $2 more, I would have done that. My batteries would have been happier.
All in all, this was a positive experience for me.
