My elderly mother and I arrived before dark and we were directed to the perfect site right near the restroom/shower. After a stunning sunset over the Eastern Sierras, gusts of wind gently rocked us to sleep. There are Mountain View’s all around and the wide open sky goes on & on. The lake is small with many water foul to watch from the double deck dock. Kayaks and row boat are available for use, and stand up paddle board too! The water is clear & clean with many cat tails growing at the edges.
Everything is well maintained and laid out well.
We stayed 3 nights and will definitely return again!

There is a dirt and gravel road to get to the campground and directions were not real clear to get to the rv spots. The office was closed . The pull through was long enough for our 25’ rv and tow vehicle. It was in dirt but was fairly level and we were happy to have hookups for showers after a long drive. The WiFi had several options and we had to call for assistance but finally got a connection. There was no cable TV or antenna access. The price was over $80, even with the Good Sam discount.
The pond area was pretty with the mountains beyond, and we enjoyed the quiet location.

Very cramped RV sites. One portable toilet/shower but no hot water.
Dusty when wind blows in the afternoon. But, sitting on the docks over the little reed infested lake was delightful with lovely views of the Sierras. One staff member to greet you, no office. He was very nice. Had cell service from Consumer Cellular and also Wi-Fi.

But sitting on the docks on the little reed invested lake was a nice way to spend the afternoon with lovely views of the Sierras. We would only stay again for a one or two night stop on the way to somewhere else. The guy who was working there was very helpful. There was Wi-Fi and we did have cell service on our Consumer Cellular phones. It looks like this RV park is a work in progress. Sites were long but very narrow; our awnings overlapped the adjacent site. When the wind blew, lots of dust came with it, but not if you were on one of the docks on the water.

We went when the weather was quite hot and ended up leaving two days early just because of that. We were refunded the two nights without question. That goes a long way in my opinion.
The park is a short drive to Lone Pine where there is so much to do and a couple hours from a Death Valley day trip.

hard to find in the dark as google wants you to turn onto hwy190. don't do that. the entrance is just south of hwy190.

We drove through this park last Spring. There wasn’t an RV to be seen. There wasn’t even a tent camper or even a day user. It appeared like they may have been in the middle of an upgrade. I hope so because what they have to work with is really nice. If they get it up and running, I would definitely check it out.
