The sites are grass and a bit unlevel (but doable), and fairly spacious. There are lots (I mean “lots”) of rules; most reasonable or at least understandable. But, the enforcing owner seriously needs to work on his interpersonal interaction skills; frequently brusk and insulting. He made for an overall unpleasant experience. Also, electricity for our length of stay was extra; about $2/day.

We stayed at this campground for 8 weeks. Initially we were not very happy. Our 42 foot rig barely fit in our spot(C7). Our lot was overlooking the storage and visitor parking. The site itself was decently large with an offset lot design for our neighbors, meaning the one behind me was aligned with our grass/picnic. All parking was on one side, which meant our neighbors walked through our lot to their spot. I had no issue with this since it would be a very round about walk for them.
The grounds themselves were very well maintained. They have a lovely lake area with lots of playground structures for the kiddos. This would make a wonderful place to stay if you have young kids (12 and younger). Horseshoes, cornhole, volleyball, walking trails, etc… There is a very nice array of state and city parks around as well. They mow weekly and ask that you trim around your site with their weed eater. Our site has lots of shade, but the trees would touch our roof (not ideal). Section C is very much a worker's lot. Everyone here works during the day and sleeps at night. Little exception to this. The vacationer sections of the campground are more traditional camping. But overall this is a VERY quiet campground. There is also, sadly, no community here. No potlucks, no game nights, nothing. For a campground this large that is a bit disappointing. This may be because we are a bit isolated in the C section of the grounds
Having read the reviews of this place, we were very nervous about our doggies. They can bark, typically when approached or disturbed. They are very strict about dogs and did call us one time when we were away. But it was justified, as our dog was barking constantly. The owner was very nice about it. Honestly I believe this campground gets a bad rep. They just ask that you follow the rules. So read through the rules. If you can follow those, then you will have zero problems. The owners are very nice and VERY helpful. I saw the owner helping someone with a flat tire, I saw them assist with someone’s broken awning. They help. They are very nice. The summer staff climbed onto our roof and trimmed the trees so they did not touch the rig. Just follow the rules. Because they do enforce them.
Lastly, the worst thing here is the internet. Camp wifi is the normal slow wifi. But cell phone signals in this area are non-existent. Tmobile, Verizon, At&t are all terrible. We have Tmobile Home Internet, Verizon hotspot with external antenna, and At&t FirstNet hotspot with external antenna. All unusable. Thankfully we have starlink, but since we were under trees, we had to stretch the dish out to near our truck in the parking lot. The owners did not complain about this and gave me high visibility markers for the cord so the mowers did not cut the line.
There is a wonderful dog park about a mile down the road that has trails you can walk off leash with your doggos. The parks in town are NOT pet friendly however.
Dacius would stay here again

No laundry, shower and bathrooms were clean but in need of paint and repair. Sites were spacious. Great access to the lake and swimming facilities. Great for younger families.
