We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at Lake Byllesby. We started our stay in site 45A, which had a larger pad as it is an ADA site (a last site available reservation). It was adjacent to an outhouse, but that outhouse was not frequently used (the park also has flush toilets and showers) - so we didn't note any ill affects of this location. he site was paved and very level and offered 30/50A and water.
Site 32 was a lake front pull-though site, and was also very level. It provided a bit less space between neighboring sites, and being that we were here on Memorial Day weekend, that was noted. It was also 30/50 + water. It had a nice view of the lake from the front of our rig.
The dump station is very easily accessed and has both fresh and rinse water. Non-overnighter campers can use the dump station for a fee.
Non-lake front sites (47-83) offer more space between neighboring sites, and better tree coverage/foliage, but are electric only. Site 1-17 were very popular and offered fire pits that abutted the lake. They were a bit crammed in, but the space behind your rig is worth it.
The camp hosts keep the place very clean, are friendly, and helpful. There is a little general store that sells ice cream and a few knick knacks.
We loved the trails here. There was a paved bike trail into town which connects to the Cannon Valley bikeway that runs all the way to Red Wing. The Cannon Valley bikeway does charge for all who are using wheels on it (bikes, rollerbladers), but is free to runners and walkers. There are also some grass trails meandering throughout Lake Byllesby park, which are apparently used for dog sledding in the winter.
We used our Starlink here with no obstructions in either campsite.
Reservations are required - no walk-ins. Sites filled up on weekends, but a lot of availability (pretty empty!) on weekdays in May.

We spent an amazing two nights at this campground. A ton of things to do around the campground with our two kids, but we also went into Cannon Falls which is just 5 minutes away for a great brewery visit and winery lunch.
Everything from the sites to the playground to the paving on the road looks and feels very new. Well-maintained and clean sites all around. 79 was electric only but has a decent lot to it which was great for our dog.
Staff were attentive and very helpful.
We’ll be back!

This is a well maintained place. They are just finishing a major upgrade. There are more water/electric sites. The layout is efficient. The splash pad will be open soon and the beach next year. Two new playground areas were great for the kids.

We have stayed here several times this past summer and have enjoyed every minute! The sites all have lake views and are long and level! The rest rooms are always clean and the showers have hot water. Everything in the park is immaculate and clean! The hosts are always accommodating and have become great friends. There is free high-speed internet and with our AT&T service we had full strength LTE. There are lots of OTA TV stations too! As of this fall, they are expanding by doubling the number of RV sites, so 2019 there will be more sites to choose from. Highly recommend this park.

Plenty of room for the entire family, bicycles, paddle boats, fishing poles, swimming trunks and inner tubes.
Free high speed WiFi- I was here May 16th (off season ) very close to the office downloaded 4 movies in 7 minutes and checked my email and such. Keep in mind high summer with lots of users wifi from the office will be super slow.
Almost every spot has waterfront access. Electrical and water hooks are available for the RV campers. also heavy duty fire pits and picknic tables for every RV and tent spot.
Lush grass , lots of trees, hiking and bicycle trails, boat launches, swimming beach area, pets must be leashes, dump station, Porta-Jon’s, hot free showers, clean bathrooms (See photos)
!!!! Bring bug repellent !
High season make a reservation is a must ! Off season I drove in and got a spot ; just make sure to come before the office closes. They have NO drop box and they do check yellow tags
