We stayed here in September just when the weather was getting cooler. there are 2-3 campsites on the river bank that are water front and then several others that are not waterfront. We were able to set up a hammock right on the water, fish (though we didn't catch anything), and bring our dogs on hikes as there is plenty of land for hiking with at least 3 big looping trails across the river. At night there were fireflies and even flourescent glow worms (firefly larvae) scattered throught the paths at night on the ground around the river. The campsite was very dog friendly and they even invited me to let the dogs off leash in the paths across the river. The covered bridge to get to the hiking trails is beautiful and rustic. The Mill itself is a wonder to visit. They sell honey here that is collected on site and they even have honey bees in the walls of the old mill. You can rent canoes and kayaks and set off straight from your campsite if you are on the water. We could have stayed a week easily and stayed busy. Desoto Caverns is about 5 minutes drive away and also a nice place to visit, but I was glad we picked this campsite instead of the desoto caverns campsites. Some opportunities for improvement: No internet (barely noticed this as I was busy with other outdoor activities), Tiny fire pit( three bricks forming a sort of circle), The gravel for the campsite was very large gravel that was uncomfortable to walk on or set up a tent on, The hook ups for electricity and water and sewage were oddly placed to the left of the site when you are looking at it, so a bit backwards. Benny was nice enough to bring us a tractorful of wood for the campfire since he was clearing some of the woods around the river. We had a tab 320 camper and it was wonderful, but you could also camp more primitive with a tent in the woods a bit further away from the rv sites along the river and they had very nice secluded areas there too with one site that had a picnic table and a large tree right at the bend of the river, making a very picturesque camping spot. We were there Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and were the only waterfront campers, so we felt that we had the place to ourselves. Even if others came we still were not sardined close together. I did not visit the bathrooms on site, but my wife says the bathrooms were not to be desired. I gave it five stars because it had everything I wanted and was one of the best campsites I've been too. (I am tired of feeling sardined on asphalt fields next to other campers like at most rv campsites).

Off the beaten trail 5 miles or so. The site of an old grist mill. Quaint and quiet with friendly neighbors. May be a bit challenging to get in if you have a really long unit. Out rate was just electric.
