Plenty of sites. Clean bathrooms. Flush toilets! Water was working as of August’24. There is a nice lake just outside the campground for fishing and swimming.

Well as stated in previous posts there is no water a the camp ground. It has been turned off until further notice. We were prepared and were able to transport water from a Chevron store down the road and also at the Sinclare station in Hatch UT. There is a natural spring that you can draw water from but we were not set up to do that, it’s down the road at the south east corner of the reservoir, you would need jugs or a very long hose, and a lot of time…..
The Camp Host did discount the rate to$15.00 per night for the lack of water.
We stayed from 6/25 thru 7/1/22. The reservoir is close but had no luck fishing, caught two small rainbow over a three day license. All in all great place quiet and comfortable.
The road in was a bit wash board but the entire time we were there the Forest service had men and machine working on it . When we left it was smooth as glass.

Mother Nature at her best!
Beautiful campground maintained by Darin, the 2021 Camp Host. We had the place to ourselves and loved it. Spent six nights hiking, biking and revisiting Bryce and Red Canyon during August 17-23, 2021. We had cold evening temperatures during a 3 day storm, so campers should be prepared and check the weather forecast.
Kings Creek Campground is at 8,000 feet elevation, located in the Dixie National Forest. In the picture you can see Tropic Reservoir in the distance on our hike.
We were camping in our travel trailer and with solar had no issues going without hookups for our 7 day trip. Fees maintain this park, so please remember this is NOT a free campground. Darin informed us that the fee is reduced during the off-season. The Upper Loop closes on September 19, 2021 but the lower loop is available on a first come, first serve basis. The information board is a wealth of information, just read it, pick a campsite and pay the required fee. Darin is very professional and knowledgeable about hikes and biking in the area. The dump station is complimentary if you are staying in the campground and available for a small fee to those who are camping in dispersed sites. Campground is clean and well taken care of.
There are a couple of hikes, Chimney Rock Trail, Keyhole Arch and Kings Creek all very accessible at the campground and the views from the top are stunning.

Unfortunately, the reservoir was about 20 feet low from the drought so my husband wasn’t too happy about that but we went to Bryce and rode the horses which was awesome!!! The trails off of the campground provided entertainment for our dogs! (& if you need cell service, the one going up the mountain has it!) If we head back this way we would definitely stay here again!

This was the best campsite of our two week trip. We planned to stay at Red Rock but it was not open yet, so the Visitor Center suggested this campground and we are happy they did. The campground was about six miles down a well maintained gravel road next to a reservoir. The campground was technically not open for the season since the water was not turned on yet but the Visitor Center stated if that was okay we were welcome to stay there. There was about 10 other campers in the campground. Our site, site 10 was very large and had good views.
We went on a hike from the campground which had outstanding views.

We loved this campground. The water was turned off and there was no camp host collecting fees while we were there, but if you’re willing to dry camp, this place is place is great. Peaceful, surrounded by pines and a short drive to Bryce Cyn.

We found this campground on Campendium after learning that the campgrounds at Bryce Canyon NP & Bryce City were full. At 5:30pm on a Friday night, we grabbed the last spot. Spot #1 is at the entrance of the campground & next to the camp host. The campground was incredibly clean & everyone was friendly. The OHVs coming into & out of the park were loud, but it wasn’t constant, just for an hour or two in the morning & evening. We saw cows, deer, & wild turkeys in the surrounding forest. We camped in our Tepui rooftop tent on our Subaru Forester with our beagle puppy & we enjoyed our stay.

We were here for a few days at the end of July. Arrived on a Friday morning to a full campground. As we drove around, we found some people were packing up and eventually scored on a great spot. I don’t think there are many “bad” spots. We were super pleased with the cleanliness and friendly people all around. There is a lot of OHV fun to be had. Next time we’ll bring our dirt bikes. We never really noticed the noise from others coming and going, but we’re pretty used to OHV areas.
We spent our time mountain biking nearby and in Red Canyon, SUP on Tropic reservoir, and hiking in Bryce Canyon. Highly recommend that you take the short/easy hike from the campground to Chimney Rock Trail and Keyhole Arch. Verizon cell service was weak so we hiked up the hill at the end of the campground and found better connection.

This information should have been posted on the website or on the highway sign before you turn onto a very bumpy and dusty forest service road and drive for a few miles expecting services. Also some Reviewers posted that they had cell service but neither our Verizon or ATT worked. Nice campground though if you don’t need water, dump, toilets or cell service.
