We heard a commotion our last night and witnessed a drug addict ride a bike into a boat parked in the side of the street. Come to find out from the security staff, he lives in the trailer next to our site and was a known meth addict. Apparently the police come out all the time to that site.

It is a very quiet place, clean bathroom, by the time I stayed the pool was super clean and not crowded so we had time to enjoy it, the only thing I didn't like was the beach, the staff need to clean the seaweed and the sand was muddy, definitely no one was on the beach, everything else I would give an A+

The Key Largo "Kampground" is more like the Key Largo Mobile Home park. There were a few spots available for camping but almost the entire property are fulltime residents. This seems to be the trend at most "campgrounds" in the Keys. When we got to the front office, we were told our reservation had been changed from a waterfront site to a site near the entrance, site #15. We were told, this was due to the sites being individually owned and the waterfront site we originally booked had been sold and the new owners did not honor our reservation. It seemed to be a common theme because the two groups of people in front of us had similar issues. The office staff was very friendly and polite about the situation, but it seemed almost rehearsed, as if it had happened many times before. The site they put us in had a lot of nice foliage but was VERY tight, especially for a 36' 5th wheel and a dually truck. It took four people to get us in the spot and just as many to get us out. As the driver, the "butt pucker factor" was a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Lots of trees and other obstacles to maneuver around. Again, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, but it should not have been necessary. The grounds and bathrooms were well maintained and clean but after a heavy rain there was a lot of localized flooding. All in all, nice staff but I would not recommend the "campground."

This was our first experience with a “condo” campground. We were not prepared for it, and the semi-permanent structures, but we got used to the idea. Our site had a pretty dilapidated trailer on one side, which the manager agreed was an eyesore. However, the rest of the sites around us had quiet, polite people in nice rigs. We explored and found a nice laundry (but hey, why no changemaker?). The clubhouse, which is open to all even if not owners, fronts on the canal and is a very pleasant spot for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. The pool is quite nice, though it could use a few more shade opportunities.
The best feature of the campground is the quiet. It’s never very noisy, and by 10 pm it’s dead quiet. There was some bozo a few rows away who fired up loud music every evening, but by 8 pm he was done.
We initially complained about the eyesore next door, and the next day the new property manager came to see us. His manner was perfect, and that set us on the road to feeling good about the property. He told us that he was going to be making enhancements, and I believe him.
We have learned that in this part of Florida, a condo campground is what you’re most likely to find (other than the state parks, which are gorgeous but impossible to get into). We looked at a couple other nearby options, and Key Largo Kampground is best-of-breed based on our observations. We would never be interested in buying a site and being there for the season, but we’ve already decided to book two weeks next winter.
Wifi is from hot spots located in public areas. Not really good if you're far from them. I have Xfinity WiFi, and there was a hotspot nearby so I had great service.
My biggest remaining issue is that the web site doesn’t explain the condo nature of the campground. I think that’s a disclosure that would be helpful and might prevent some complaints.

This was the worst campground ever. The bathhouses need to be gutted and pool replaced. Doesn’t appear the bathhouses have been deep cleaned in decades. Showers were awful. Staff very rude and seemed to not care if you stayed or not. We left after one night and forfeited the remaining two nights at $100 a night it was so bad.

If you like paying >$100 a night for a flooded parking lot, then this is the place for you! Literally couldn’t step outside my rig without landing in several feet of water. Surrounded by it on all sides. Couldn’t sit outside. Couldn’t walk my dogs anywhere without wading through a literal river running through the street. It didn’t even rain when we there. It was simply THAT flooded from an earlier rain (normal Florida rainstorm, not a tropical storm or hurricane). No WiFi despite what they advertised. No real amenities just a very old, rickety swing set, despite charging extra for children ages 6+. No fires allowed (although I couldn’t build one in a puddle anyway). Mostly a mobile home park with a few rentable RV spots, and the residents are very unfriendly to the renters. One of them got angry/confrontational with us about supposedly not picking up dog poop as we were very visibly carrying bags full of poop, and I saw someone else getting yelled at for her car allegedly being parked too far out into the road (aka the River). Got a booking last minute for a holiday weekend and should have seen the red flags! I’ve stayed in hundreds of campgrounds in 40 states and this one is among my least favorite… and in terms of price vs. value it’s the worst I’ve ever experienced.

We booked a week stay here because the Florida State Parks shut down. We put down a deposit of $132(out of $640 total) which included a $5 booking fee. A day later Monroe County closed the Keys to all non residents. We expected our reservation to be cancelled and we received an email stating the cancellation. The problem is that their system does refunds by charging the amount again and then refunding 2x the amount a few days later. This means we are missing 260. The staff member I spoke to is aware of this problem and said not to worry the money will show up eventually. To top that gem off, he said the "Board of Directors" decided that all the $5 booking fees would be kept and not refunded. I cannot understand these greedy business policies especially during this outbreak. I would avoid this business.
