We’ve traveled the world and camped for more than 50 years.. there is no excuse for the horrid conditions and non- upkeep of the bathhouse/ restrooms . Mold broken showers, door handles broken tiles etc, seriously considering calling the local health Dept. Have taken photos and will be sending them to the offices.

We camped for spring break and enjoyed the fact that we could walk to the beach from our campsite. That said, the bathrooms were dirty and the staff seemed indifferent when I mentioned the condition of the bathrooms.
No hammocks or clothes lines allowed as it's a nature preserve.

There was only 1 thing wrong with our experience here starting from online reservations to our stay and that was the washrooms. I cannot vouch for the washhouses in the other loops (though reviews on all sites seem to indicate they are bad all over,) but the one between the A and B loops was awful! After complaining to the Park Operations Supervisor things were minimally better but I fear the abilities of the "cleaning crew" or perhaps their lack of investment in the outcome leaves the washrooms pretty yucky. If you don't like grunge you might want to plan to use your rig's shower or make sure you wear shower shoes and be prepared. Taking a hook that goes over the side of the stall would also be helpful. Good news is the bathhouse is well heated and the water is hot and plentiful though the pressure goes down at times when everyone is using them.
Other than that? This is a wonderful park. It's HUGE-riding just the loops gives you an idea of how large and the sites vary vastly. We had an excellent back-in site with woods on three sides and across the road (most sites face the site across the road.) Our site was level and spacious but others we saw were not level and somewhat less private though all seem to be pretty spacious. There are some pull through sites, and some that are clearly best suited to tents. From conversations with another camper we found that calling the office if you have questions about suitability is helpful and all our interactions with office staff were great. The water is a bit low in pressure (30psi) but sufficient and tasted good, the electricity had no problems and though we did not need a sewer (composting toilet and low water usage) there is one there.
There are huge numbers of kids in the playground and their voices are heard all over but not after 9pm and not early morning. Many ride bikes and walk in the streets so the 10MPH speed limit is imperative.
The campground opens on one side to the lake which has a walking/biking trail and there are a number of hiking and biking (off road) trails. Be sure to check the entrance to each trail as the direction changes according to the day of the week.
The beach is a 5 minute walk and stretches for miles in each direction. There are some shells and reportedly some shark's teeth (Fort Clinch beach is best for those) but it's a great walking beach with numerous stiles entering/exiting. The beach can be very windy which you won't know in the campground which has so many trees that it's blissfully protected.
The Camp Store stocks some items (thinking camping fare) and a few handy ones as well as has bike rentals. There is a gate code to get into the actual campground that changes every Tuesday (pick up the new one at the office) and that same code works after hours at the park entrance as well.
There is a Publix supermarket 15 min away, Jacksonville city is an easy 1/2 hour, the St John's River Ferry ($6 and about a 5 min ride) is 10 minutes away and you can drive all the way up to Fernandina Beach once you cross over. The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville has an ER about 20 min away and if your pet needs a vet the Wonderwood Animal Hospital is only 10 min away., if you need to do laundry there are machines in the campground but with only 2 for over 300 sites I opted to drive 5 min to Veteran's Coin Laundry which was superb.
WE had good ATT service BOOSTED. 2 bars without, 4-5 with. Didn't test our Verizon but heard it's good.
The road through the campground is a bit narrow but our 33' rig navigated it with no problem and we saw some bigger ones come through.

Hanna Park a City Park in Jacksonville, Fl with Beach Access within walking distance from the campground, site# 250, we are here 3 nights. $30 per night with full hook-ups, there was only one site out of the 300 here available online when we booked it. Our site is directly behind a bathroom building which is OK I guess because it gives privacy on our yard side. Sites are pretty large but roads are narrow and many children playing on them so we had to drive at a crawl through the campground. Very popular family campground. Thickly wooded campground, might leave awning out overnight which I usually don't do but don't see how any wind could even touch it. One of the 3 showers out of order, definitely need flip flops dirty floor, guy said the water temp was good. 2 washers and dryers for the whole park of 300 campsites. At campstore bought 12oz of dish detergent, $3.50. Camping rates are good value, they seem lax on the maintenance though. Blazing fast Verizon, 48 MB/S down and 14 MB/S up at 8 PM.

My main advice is choose your site carefully, there is a wide difference in site quality. Some sites were awful but most were well spaced and nice. It a big park so you should assume that. Our site was great.
I look forward to returning, and really recommend this campground

There are multiple gates to get in, so it can feels very secure here. It was fairly close to plenty of shopping and dining, too.

Our site was on the end of a row and the intersection beside us seemed to be the meeting of five or six different roads. Parking the truck on site and keeping out of the way was difficult, but there are better sites for our setup and we will get a longer site next stay. Hanna Park has excellent hiking trails and the beach access is well done. This campground was LOUD on the weekends. Our site was directly across from the shower/restrooms, which we wanted, but they need an update. They were clean and well kept, but worn badly and dated.

Near the lake but a bit of a distance to the paths. Near the beach but they are doing some sort of beach restoration so several sections closed down, lots of noise and lights. The campground is very narrow and not very well signed. We didn’t have an issue in our small rig but big rigs be aware it’s very narrow. I watched a big rig with a tow barely able to maneuver into their pull thru spot. The big plus was that the bathrooms were heated which was great since a cold front was in. It would have been nice to be given a specific campground map as well as the park map at check in otherwise you just kind have to find things or go online to navigate that map. Overall I liked our stay.
