When booking make sure you pay attention to the particulars for the site you book. There is no grass. Some site are more level than others. We were always protected by the trees. Most times our site cooler than others. We rarely had the warmth of the sun. The humidity inside and outside the rig was always over 75%. Our visit was the last week of June. We had great T-mobile 5g coverage on the beach and also in the more southern sites closer towards the lodge. Using the booster in our rig, we had a slow 4G, 4 bar connection. We could text, check email and catch up on the news. Generators are permitted except during quiet hours (10 pm to 7 am).

As others have said, the sites are not level. Plan to use all your blocks. We travel in a 27 foot Class C with 2 slides. We were pushing the envelope in our first site that was 28 feet long (site D5). Our second site was plenty long and wide, but still had to level with all blocks. If you can get site D24 - do it. It has amazing views. Be sure to check out Ruby beach for the rock stacks.

I lucked out on a weekday and got the very last site, which I booked for 5 nights because I didn’t want to try to find something on the weekend. Very busy campground wedged between the pacific and 101, which is very noisy during the day. Try to avoid sites that back up onto 101 if you can. Road noise does die down at night, but a lot of big rigs and hot rodders during the day. My site was nowhere near level and most had a pitch one way or the other from what I could see. Be prepared to level. My site was very private due to tall shrubbery but most are quite open, obviously very open if you want a site on the bluffs above the beach. Campground noise was not bad except for a group who had 4 giant schnauzers that liked to fight with each other. This is the same site that thought it was okay to bust out the bagpipes several times a day and start playing. As a dog owner, I make sure my dog is well socialized and obedient, but the aggressive, out of control dogs made me uncomfortable here. From an extremely dog aggressive Golden that the owners were barely able to control, to a lot of yapping dogs that went bonkers for 15 minutes if you happened to pass by their site. Bathrooms were very clean. No showers. You must pay extra if you want to use the dump station, whether you’re a camper or not. Beautiful area that I would have enjoyed more if it wasn’t so busy and there weren’t so many ill behaved dogs.

We had a private double pull thru site sheltered from the ocean winds. Most of the oceanfront sites do not accommodate larger RVs. Although private we did have to deal with barking dogs in the next site over. Be considerate of others.

Beautiful place. Even though the campground was full it was still relatively quiet. Many access points to the beach. Dogs allowed but must be on a leash.

The campground has easy access to the beach via a path which we took advantage of in order to enjoy a beautiful sunset. In addition to beach access the campground was forested. The campground was beautiful and clean. There was also a dump station and fresh water fill we were able to use during our stay.

Ok, so it was good old PNW wet snow, but it was a pleasure to walk thru for about a half hour before it soaked us thru. 3/4's of the campground was closed up, and what was available on the cliffside was limited. Plenty of spots inside the tall trees, but with current gale warnings in effect, we opted for the last and abandoned (paid campers left early) site by the water, and hunkered down for the night. Following a cold (low 30's) and noisy (storm and surf) night, we woke to clearing skies and calm winds, allowing us to open up and dry out in the sun.
As most folks know, Kalaloch is very popular along the Washington coast, and we imagined what it must be like in the summer. We figured mid-week in January would give us a better shot at peaceful night, and with only a handful of hardy souls as our neighbors, we weren't disappointed. The facilities offered more than we needed, and our access to the beach was crumbling but manageable. All in all, not a bad way to spend a January day on the OP.

We were able to watch the sunset on the beach. Price was $22 per night. Not sure how early you would have to get here to get into the beachfront campsites, but those are beautiful! Road is narrow and most of the sites are short for a big rig. No hookups but we had cell service.

Had to use my weboost to get adequate LTE service. Got 3 bars of Verizon 4g with the booster.
I don't think we've ever camped at a more beautiful spot.

Host was never seen! Seems they should have a sign out front stating campground is full! Ya think the host could do that! Beautiful spot but cars are constantly driving through looking for a site when it is totally full!
