Miles of walking and miles of bike trails. Theres also a course for bikes. There is a lot to do at the park- river tours, boat rentals, etc. A good amount of wildlife. The gnats and no-see-ums were pretty bad in January. Some of the sites are small and close together, ours was fine. Some trees in camp area but not much screening between most sites.
Bath houses were exceptionally clean and well tended. Laundry machines were functional and good. All facilities were in good shape. Camp road was paved but site numbers on the pavement were a little hard to read. Sites were sand/shells except ours was a paved handicap site by a bathhouse.
Be aware that the River loop is about 3.5 miles back into the property, but the Pine Grove loop is up front, and the sewer dump is at PG loop. That means folks on River loop must pull a sewer wagon over 3 miles to dump it. They should add a sewer dump down at the river loop for sure.
Campground is only a mile or so north of Jupiter where there are all sorts of businesses, stores etc. It is a long way around to the oceanfront, but there is a Natural area on Hobe sound that is not far.It was partially closed for renovation during our trip and is closed on Sunday and Mondays.
During our week, there was a construction project boring under the river that made constant noise all day from sunup to sun down every day. There was also railroad construction inside the park that delayed us over a half hour one time.
Verizon signal was very weak ( 1-2 bars) at our area. A neighbor said AT&T was good.
WiFi is only at the visitor center.

On the camping side, the site was level, neighbors not too close, bathhouses clean. Very peaceful in the evening. However, when the noseeums come out, that is the only bad part. Next time we will bring a screened shelter. For sure there will be a next time.

There are many hiking and biking trails in the park.
Pine Grove campground has some road noise from Hwy 1 nearby. PG has full hookups that were in good condition. Sites are nice pea gravel and very level.
It is about a 4-5 mile drive to restaurants and grocery stores.
Excellent AT&T cell service, 5 bars of 5G. About 25 HDTV channels.

The park is so pretty and secluded, yet you are only 20 minutes away from anything you could need. We love to bike ride here. They also have a nice boat ramp, as well as water craft to rent.
There are hiking trails and great places to picnic.

This park has wide and long sites. No trees, but so much to do. Clean restrooms all over, and laundry. So many trails to hike or bike. The river section is smaller, and more cramped. There’s a store and food truck on river side. Food truck open Thursday thru Monday.

We met some family members with RVs and had a great time. We rented canoes; that was fun. The sites are really nice and level. Full hookups and come with picnic table and a clothes line. I thought that was a nice touch. The public bathrooms and showers were clean and orderly. I would recommend this campground.

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent 7 nights but in 3 different sites as over Christmas. This felt like a proper FL holiday. Easy access to the beach, great biking in the park. Lots of great coffee and places to grab food nearby with a sidewalk for biking/walking from the park.
