Our exact spot was 35.782465, -115.279688 which is large enough for any size rig, even several (can be a group camping area). Drive down the paved Ranch Road to get to several pull-off sites. You can also drive onto the dry lake bed and camp anywhere. Gravel sites were level and ours had a large fire pit. We picked up nails where other campers had burned lumber but otherwise the site was clean and free of much trash.
Great place to let the dogs run around, just watch out for snakes (we never saw any but there are holes).
On the weekends the place has lots of OHVs, dirt bikes, etc so expect some noise. We stayed for 14 days at the end of March and everyone was courteous (slowed down when nearing the campsite to keep from stirring up dust).
Lots of sun for solar, it got windy for about 1/3 of the time we stayed. This could be seasonal though.

We had full AT&T bars.

We enjoyed watching and meeting some of the riders, but the noise and traffic may bother some. We nearly got stuck while looking for a site because we went down a gravel road that got really uneven and soft. There are so many gravel roads that lead to good camp sites, just be careful not to take one of the paths meant for four-wheelers. I liked that Vegas/restaurants/grocery stores were only 30 minutes away. And the 7 Magic Mountains -a cool natural art attraction- are right up the road.

Follow all the instructions below and drive up the cement truck road from Terrible's Casino if you're coming in from the South/West. From other reviews, I couldn't tell if I was able to take the Terrible's exit, but you 100% can and then drive north. Drive Las Vegas Blvd north up to Ranch Road (paved) and make a right. Drive for a few miles on the paved road and there's a good spot where this photo was taken to stay. Very level. GREAT cell service.

We stayed here twice on our November climbing trip, it was way warmer than Lovell Canyon.
First night we drove in a few miles and then pulled off. It was quiet and secluded. The part of the road we drove in on was paved, but parked on dirt.
Lots of space for shenanigans.
On the second night around 9:30 we were startled by a few off-road vehicles looking for a good time, but we were parked closer to the highway.
You can hear the train/cars if you park too close.

I saw a previous review where someone stated you have to go under a 11ft bridge this is NOT correct. You access the lake from Las Vegas Blvd near the 7 magic mountains art display. From there it’s a paved road all the way to the lake bed however take the paved road at the 25MPH speed limit as it will help you avoid the few large pot holes. Once at the lake bed you can park your rig and there is plenty of space to do so.
The area is mainly for desert off roading. If you drive to the north you can get some spectacular views of the Las Vegas area or even walk into a petroglyph Canyon. If you ride to the east it will take you up into some high desert areas with lots of trails where you can see deer, mountain lions and feral cows. The area has some large pine and cedar trees that just about makes you forget you are in the middle of the desert. Due to the mountain ranges and wilderness area’s if you ride out to the east it will force you south towards Primm, NV and Nipton, CA. I’ve ridden this route a few times well into California and I have been told it is possible to ride all the way out to Big Bear, CA. If you ride to the west it will take you towards Goodsprings and Sandy Valley. Which have a few small bars that are very accommodating to off-roaders. The goodsprings bar (Pioneer saloon) has a full menu and restaurant that is pretty good. If you keep riding in a south western direction you will drop into the town of Sandy Valley. The bar in Sandy Valley (idle spurs) doesn’t have food but the drinks are really cheap which is nice. Sandy Valley also has numerous sand dunes that are fun to take a pass through. Just keep the speeds and dust down when traveling in the residential areas. The officers don’t mind you driving on the roads or in the area as long as you are not stirring up a bunch of dust.
Overall the area is nice to go camping and exploring in and is only a 15-20 minute drive from Las Vegas.

Very quiet at night.
Decent AT&T service without using a booster.
*** I'm adding the following as a response to the "large rigs can't fit" review. If you're coming in from the West, GPS will try and take you on a poorly maintained dirt road with the low underpass mentioned in that review. Don't go that way even if you have a low enough rig to fit. Instead, continue driving East on Las Vegas Blvd until you get to Ranch Road. The coordinates of the Ranch Road turnoff are 35.827655, -115.283826. This is a paved road used tractor trailers on their way to a nearby gravel pit so the road is passable by any size or height rig.
