Stayed the night of May 6th. Overall a nice site. Did lots of bird watching. The local sheriff did a drive thru which was nice. Did knock a star off for the small amount of trash and glass we found.

Lots of people fishing here, birds galore in the marsh off our site. I had to take photos to text my birder friend.
4 bars Verizon without a booster.
There are at least 12 sites, some can hold multiple rigs, not just the 6 shown above.

We have a 31’ Thor Outlaw class c that we used and it was easy for us to get around. There are some fairly well maintained vaulted toilets along the road. Not all spots are created equal. Some spots are larger than others but most have a fire ring. Our particular spot had water access and it was fairly nice. Beware that this place will attract teenagers for a party spot. Our last night there was brutal with the loud music and people screaming until 2-3 AM. Flies were not bad during the day but at night they got wild.

The area was very quiet. Our closest neighbor ran their generator quite often but since the sites are spaced apart it didn't bother us. Fishing is great in the area and we saw lots of action from those that fished.
There's not a lot to do in the general area but we did enjoy making a day trip over to the Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park. It has the largest single structure sand dune in North America.
Entry to the area is down a washboard road but not all that long. The sites are fairly level and all gravel. There are vault toilets but no other services. Bring your own water and you'll need to find a dump station somewhere else.
Our AT&T reception was spotty at best.

The birding was great for a morning in May. A power company truck patrolled each morning and late afternoon, and with a farmhouse close by I felt safe being the only camper.

We were able to launch our Sea Eagle fishing kayak right from camp and spend many days fishing on the lake. It's a sportsman paradise and would highly recommend this place!

My wife and I stayed here over the new years holiday, to get the dog away from the city fireworks. There are a number of sites (3-4) that could accommodate our 27' airstream and tow vehicle all of them right on the reservoir. Each site has a fire ring, but no hookups. There were 3 pit toilets in the campground and they were clean. The gravel road into the campground was a little washboard, but no problem if you take it slow. Being December/January, there were a number of hunters and fisherman coming and going from the campground. Lots of birds on the water that may wake you up in the morning, but otherwise the campsite is very, very quiet this time of year. Campground was very clean.
The Sheriff drove through the campground a couple of times during our visit, said hello when he saw us. Seemed very friendly and we felt very safe. Turnaround is possible at 3 locations in the campground - just as you come in, in the main section of the campground, and at the boat launch at the end of the road assuming there are no trailers or other vehicles that would block you in.
As far as cell phone service, we have a Sprint hotspot with small external antenna that roamed over to T-mobile. 12mbps down, 1mbps up. Verizon on an iPhone got 4mbps down, less than 1mbps up. IPhone with T-mobile was very spotty for any service. Sometimes 2 bars, sometimes none inside the trailer. At&t service was non-existant.
I'd worry about the bugs during the regular camping season, but this is a great place to stay off-season. I could stare out the window at the water and wildlife for hours.

Several spots for RV's with 4 or 5 big rig friendly sites. Most sites have only a fire ring, nothing more. Beware of the flies though. Bring a fly trap of some kind as that will help alot. 2 of the 3 days we stayed, the State dumped a large tanker full of Rainbow Trout at the pond's boat launch. There's also another Utility run campground about a mile away called Cottonwood Park. It has more amenities such as a few public water spickets, picnic tables, huge boat launch and docks, covered gathering area and of course very well maintained pit toilets for $8 a night. There's also a very nice free dump station with good potable water next door at the State Department of Fish and Wildlife headquarters. Fantastic Verizon signal too.
