We arrived later in the day and were greeted by the friendly and helpful park manager, who assigned a spot to us. The park is adjacent to Mountain Lake's public fishing pier. We arrived later in the day and were greeted by the friendly and helpful park manager, who assigned a spot to us. The park is adjacent to Mountain Lake's public fishing pier. A newly constructed bicycle path passed the park, and rental bicycles were parked at a rental stand next to the park. We had coffee in downtown Mountain Lake, which was a nice place.

Clean, level, roomy sites. Restrooms were renovated last year, very clean, nice showers. Wonderful hosts!

Inexpensive for full hookups! The spots are big and nearly level. Our sewer connection was pretty far up, so check before you park it. There is a large playground, bike rentals, and a path around the lake. I wouldn't walk the whole 5.5 miles again, but I'd bike it without a dog. The camp host was nice, even though we got in late.

Cute small town campground. First come first serve full hookup sites for $20 a night and it looks like they are open May-Oct 1 and have very reasonable season rates as well. Nice bathrooms as well and pull through or back in sites. Back in sites looked to be full but were more shaded. ATT worked very well for us. Right across the str... more
Cute small town campground. First come first serve full hookup sites for $20 a night and it looks like they are open May-Oct 1 and have very reasonable season rates as well. Nice bathrooms as well and pull through or back in sites. Back in sites looked to be full but were more shaded. ATT worked very well for us.
Right across the street there is a Nice 5 mile bike trail that goes around the lake and there is also a big new playground across the street. Bikes for rent in front of the campground. We loved eating at the River City Eatery 15 minutes away in Windom. Great food and coffee (and a small vintage clothing shop in the back). There is also a large and spacious Casey’s gas station 5 minutes from the campground for gas, food, or drinks.
We hope to be back!
