We were in Loop C, many reviewers complain about the road noise but we found that it was not bad at all. It is there, but not bad enough to hinder the experience. Fishing was also great at the pond closest to the camping loop. Loop C is a full hookup loop which is a great find for a state park. This park is the perfect location to visit Colorado National Monument from. If you'd like to see more about our stay, you can see it here! https://youtu.be/RIIoBPHiIOw

Very convenient location right off the freeway, but not road noise wasn’t bad. Gravel sites were pretty close to level. Campground is nestled up to the river bank with easy access to the water. Plenty of bugs when we camped in late-July.

Easy trip to Fruita and Grand Junction. If you’re looking for total wilderness then maybe this isn’t the right fit, but the road noise was easily tuned out most of the time and the beauty of the surrounding cliffs more than made up for the occasional truck noise. Would happily stay here again.

This park is too close to the highway, so lots of highway noise at night. It’s very desert like, dry, no pretty trees (although if you can get space 78 - it has a nice tree (assuming you have no height issues)).
There is no cell/internet access and we could not get any channels on our antenna.
There is a nice picnic area and a few trails to walk on (not pretty by any means). And if it’s not blistering hot, each site has a nice, covered picnic table.
I was not impressed with this campground and was sad that this is a state park.

Mullins of goat heads being packed in from soles on shoes and poor dogs had feet full of these stickers and burrs. The ground is covered with them. They poked holes in air mattresses and got in the carpet in camper. Terrible
