We stayed 4 nights because of a schedule issue. I was able to book online, the link on here is not valid but if you google the name you’ll find the reservation site. There wasn’t anyone to meet onsite but our site was reserved with a name tag and a phone number to call for any issues. We had site 3 which is near the boat ramp and the bridge. The site included power and water. A dump station is by the restroom facilities which includes a shower stall in both the men and women’s side. They were also very clean. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes were very plentiful so we were not able to sit outside and doing anything outside after dusk was impossible. There are sites further away from the bridge that probably don’t get the same amount of noise that we heard from the cars but it was very loud for us. The noise from the passing boats was also throughout the night. We had great starlink connectivity but the T-mobile and AT&T was minimal.

Fishing right off the river and there's a cleaning station to clean your catch. Boat ramps too. Watch the barges move along the water way. Driving access to beaches and other adventures north or south. Playground for the littles. No walking trails but it's large enough to walk around the park. I visited in November and there were only a few other campers. I'd definitely stay here again.

Not sure we would have stayed here due to the very loud road noise from the metal part of the bridge.
Otherwise would have been nice …

Stayed here on our travels between Houston and New Orleans. Some great birding and we saw a good size gator also. Bridge is loud but quiets down at night. Sounds like a hot air ballon to me. Only about 30 min from coast and decent beaches.

Not far off I-10 Lake Charles and Sulfur. Parish park and great Value, clean however there is the draw bridge. Noise from the grates can effect you if you pick site close to it. This a great place to see the barges coming up and down the intercostal. We likes it .

It's no resort, but it was a nice spacious lot to provide a break from a stretch of beach boondocking to get cleaned up. Looks to be primarily a fisherman's hangout - two boat ramps, fish cleaning station, right on the water. There's a small park at the end of the lot for walking dogs or setting your kids loose on swings and slides while you do other crap.
Hookups worked. Verizon 4G good. Everyone kept to themselves. I don't even think the place was staffed the couple days I was there but they have a sign to pay online.
As others said, it can get noisy. The big barges cruise through day and night. You can hear the rattle of the steel bridge when cars go by, but as a former city dweller, that didn't lose me a wink. Also, you will not find convenient amenities nearby. The closest grocery store was twenty minutes away, and larger chains about forty...otherwise you're shopping at gas stations.
Still giving it four stars because those are negatives I don't really care much about.

We enjoyed checking out Sabine NWR and had our first ever crabbing experience there (get string and chicken at Brown’s in Hackberry and then go to one of the designated refuge areas!) We’re mentioning this because it was fun and easy and the campground has fish cleaning stations which made dealing with two dozen crabs a dream.
Yes, there is some road noise from the bridge and yes you can see plumes of exhaust from the local LNG Plant. But it’s safe and secure, well maintained and absurdly cheap for water and electric sites with dump station onsite. And we had no trouble sleeping, so the noise was much less than some places that have train traffic nearby!

The sites are close together and 100% gravel but I had the site's site so it wasn't too bad. The ones facing the water had covered picnic tables every third site or so. That was a nice touch and people put up tarps to block wind/sub/visibility. I would have hung my hammock. It was Thanksgiving week and I snagged the last available site. Reservations are best because it is a popular fishing place. The bathrooms are great, though only one shower stall. I'm typically a boondocker and this was a great place to recharge for awhile. 50 amp and water at the sites for a great price,

Boat launch areas and you can fish along the shores. Cleaning stations right by the water are very convenient. This is a Manatee area, a watch sign is posted. Didn't see any, but if you do, report it to the Wildlife authorities.
Neat to watch the various barges go up and down the waterway. Just relax and enjoy. Low rumbling from a nearby plant at night, barely perceptible inside the camper and makes great white noise for sleeping
This is mid April, 2019. Skeeters are out, but a spray keeps them off you. They are heavy in the grassy areas, watch out for your pets and little ones. We had a fiddler crab staying under our camper. Class A to tent friendly. I hear it is busy with locals during holidays.
Loved this so much, we stayed another night. May stay longer. :)

We registered on the phone a couple of hours before arrival and were assigned a site right underneath a street lamp after telling them we were tent camping. It felt like the sun was up all night. It’s likely easier to sleep if you’re in an RV. There were flush toilets and showers, although no soap to wash hands and the floor was very wet throughout the bathroom. We never saw the attendant, if there is one, because we arrived after hours. There is one redeeming feature though: watching boats go by on the intracoastal is really fun!
