Nothing wrong with the cg. Only reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating is because the main entrance to the cg is on a highway. The highway is closed from one direction off the interstate. Me and a host of others came this way and we all met at this gas station where we had to turn around and get back on the interstate. IMO the CG should have notified us the road was closed to get to the CG.
But I digress.
This is a shared CG with KOA. It is kind of the bizarro world how you have to choose your site. They circle some sites and that is where you have to pick from. Being solo it is a little hard to navigate and look at the map, wait, can I ick this one, no, the one next to it, no it is occupied. Once you get a site they are larger than most TT cgs. Mine was level albeit gravel. Bathhouse where I was was nice, clean and new. I was in a new section in the back. They seem to be sticklers with a 5 mph speed limit but I was not warned. I am glad I left Sat morning because I can see this place is party central on the weekend. Happy to stay during the week. Most folks seemed nice enough.
Joe the Computerguy would stay here again

These sites really a nice large size, the section is pretty quiet and the site is gravel. The dog park is a really nice size and it looks like the pool (still a little too cold for us) is really nice also. It is a large park and does get pretty loud on the weekends, but overall nice for a thousand trails. Last time we were here, they did accept packages which was nice (and not usual), and it's only 45 min to Cincinnati.

This was a good park. Bathrooms were in good shape, we found a great pull through that was huge and way oversized for what we needed (our 37' TT looked tiny compared to the bigger coaches and fifth wheels next to us.) We had "sort of" sewer connections, meaning that we had sewer into an underground container that they empty every few days, sort of a non-sewer sewer connection. There were a lot of those types of sites available.
This is one of those parks that has a few shared resources sites, with power pedestals sometimes on the wrong side of the camper or your water connection is on the opposite side. Extension cords and hoses were helpful.
The neighboring town has a Kroger, a few grocery stores, restaurants, a great 24 hour laundromat and a few towns over is a nice little German town (Oldenburg I think) with German food and touristy German type spots. Metamora nearby is also a fun little place to spend an afternoon.
We needed to be in the area and this was a great site for that.
AT&T service was good enough to be consistently usable (20-40/1-4). Tmobile was also somewhat usable (8-20/1-2). Upload speeds were low all around. Verizon had very low signal, we had to connect the phones to AT&T or Tmobile/Calyx wifi in order to use them 75% of the time. Some variability day by day on usability of the internet connection.
On weekend nights they have some kind of golf cart parade around 8-8:30pm. It seems to be a coordinated thing for about a half hour to an hour, not an ongoing thing all evening long, which was appreciated. We were out by the campfire and kind of enjoyed watching people having a great time. By 9 it was dying down and by 9:30 it was nearly quiet.
We did have an issue with a neighbor situation and the TT rangers handled it quickly, with shared concern and they resolved the problem. Rangers seemed very responsive and fair.
Never smelled sewer smell, except when our sewer container in the ground (like a big plastic drum in the ground) was being pumped out right by us and we were outside. Hopefully that means they've fixed that problem that others have complained about.

This combination Thousand Trails/KOA is a large campground with a LOT of seasonal spots. We stayed for a week using our Thousand Trails membership and were put in an area that is mostly reserved for non annuals (therefore, least desirable sites) Wifi non existant. KOA sites were better maintained than the TT sites. The annual/seasonal area has well maintained sites but felt like a mobile home park.
Note to Thousand Trails corporate: It would be nice if your maps indicated seasonal spots (some parks do, lots of parks do NOT) as it is deceptive thinking you have a chance at choosing a nice spot on the lake, or in the trees. It appears seasonal folks get higher priority than those of us who travel around with memberships.
People drive golf carts everywhere blaring music and quite the raucus party atmosphere during the weekend. If that is your scene, you will enjoy your stay.
Batesville has an awesome pizza place (Isons) and some really nice trails to walk
Wifi non existant for TT folks. Obvious towers for the KOA sites but since we were TT, no access for us.

We booked to stay a week but left after 2 nights. We're full-timers and have stayed at 28 Thousand Trails campgrounds this past year. This campground was one of the worst.
We were going to arrive after hours so we called 6 times over a few hours to get through. The office kept putting us through to the gate but nobody answered at the gate until the 6th try. They said they would leave a packet with our information and explained the best bet to find a site (choose your own site).
Selecting a site in this campground is difficult enough in the daylight. It's nearly impossible at night. The map site numbers don't match the site numbers on the power boxes. Half the power boxes didn't even have numbers. Most sites don't have sewer so it took a while to finally find a site with sewer.
The site we found was unlevel (the gravel rolled off on both sides) and we had to basically back all the way off the back of the gravel so our cable and hose could reach the power and water located far away from the site.
The neighbors are very close and unfortunately we parked near a couple noisy neighbors so we didn't sleep well.
The campground has a general nasty smell like sewage and the bugs were pretty bad because the grass was moist and a little underwater in many places.
The campground is a little strange. It's divided in half with a KOA and the Thousand Trails. The KOA was basically empty and most of the sites looked like better quality that the TT side.
The lakes look pretty gross with stagnant water so we didn't venture down to the water. Any sites near the water are taken by seasonal (aka permanent).
The location worked for some nearby daytrips into Cincinnati but not a campground we will likely come back to.
