We stayed at this park for 2 nights during the last weekend of Oktoberfest. We loved that they offered a complimentary shuttle into town, so there was no concern for parking during the festival. I was also a convenient location for our hike to the stunning Colchuck Lake, which was even more magical during the first snowfall of the year. We would have stayed longer, but the park closed for the season the next day.
Check out our video in the video section to see some of the park and what we did in the area, (or copy/paste this: https://youtu.be/Rw5Ctme-ALQ).

To pay for the laundry you must download an app then fund a minimum of $10 even if you don't plan to do that much laundry. WiFi is pretty bad, which is unfortunate if you try to download the laundry app. For this price you would expect a MUCH better WiFi system. T-Mobile cell coverage was basically useless for data. We would stay again in a pinch if hookups needed, but if we get back this way and don't need hookups we will probably try one of the NF campgrounds up the road.

Pros: Super friendly staff, clean facilities and grounds. Cute little river access and easy proximity to Leavenworth.
Cons: as with many spectacular waterfront campgrounds, you are cheek-to-cheek with fellow campers on waterfront sites. Limited AT&T and T-Mobile data/cell service.
We would definitely camp here again.

Upon arriving to Icicle River Resort we were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who shared a map and description of feature’s of the resort. She waved over another staff member in a golf cart who led us to our space, & guided us into backing into our space. He even explained cable and internet. Our space was immaculate with woods on one side where we were surprised by mule deer in the evening and morning.
The resort has beautiful Bavarian themed bathrooms/showers and laundry buildings. They have a number of cabins and wide variety of spaces, from riverfront to wooded; with 50 & 30 amp hook-ups. Unfortunately, the resort doesn’t allow tents.
Trash cans are a small walk because they are properly latched to keep out bears, raccoons, etc. Remember to rematch after adding your rubbish.

Hookups are good overall, but don't plan on running at/near your max amps without a converter to the next amps up (we are 15, usually hook up to 30 and we had to borrow a 15 to 50 converter from the office to just run our A/C units during the heat wave - 110F outside).
The river end of May was too high to swim, but there is a little spot that my husband got in a bit (too cold for me!). In July when we were back it was then almost too low to swim. We were able to sit with our chairs semi-submerged. Overall the river is beautiful and relaxing when it's not too busy. The RV park is pretty big and the main access to the water can get pretty crowded in the afternoon after check-in. It wasn't hard to walk down the river a bit in July and find a spot to plop our chairs in the water away from people though.
Most of their camp hosts are great, but one of them is quite grumpy when you approach him with anything. It's nice that they are there during check-in to help guide you into your spot.

The sites on the lower portion of the RV park - the ones closer to the river - are much nicer, paved, level, and have grass around them. The upper sites are not necessarily paved or level. When we made the turn up the hill to go to our site, it was kind of a downer. It was gray, dry, and not very pretty. The sad thing is that you look through the trees behind your site (we were at #82) you see this wonderland that you can't access.
The sites are so close together that your picnic table often is located above the sewer hookup for your neighbor's camp site.
Wi-Fi here is worthless, we weren't able to connect to anything. We had to drive to Leavenworth to get any coverage whatsoever. Neither my Verizon, nor my sister's AT&T were able to connect to anything here. Not voice, not text, not anything. So, depending on your wants or needs, that may be good for you. My sister was trying to check in with a client, and was forced to go downtown to get anything done.
Showers were decent, and free. Laundry was fine if you're line-drying your clothes, the driers only blow air. You end up paying for 4 - 6 cycles to get your clothes damp, not wet.
The river adjacent to the park is beautiful and COLD! but oh so beautiful. It's about 5-10 minutes to get downtown in Leavenworth.

We prefer dispersed or primitive campground camping, but when we need laundry facilities, we opt to stay in an RV park. Icicle River RV Park provided us with everything we needed: laundry, river access, shade, as well as the bonus of the sound of the Icicle River all around.
We did not have reservations, but on a Sunday in July, we were able to secure a nice site in the middle row of the park. We appreciated that the park managers strategically placed campers in sites to maximize space and privacy when possible. We did not have any neighbors both nights of our stay.
The sites that backed up to the river were all reserved ahead of time and were full. We noticed that some were oriented with picnic tables on the left of the parking pad and others with picnic tables to the right. This orientation is nice for motorhomes as they can drive straight into their sites, but it makes for much less privacy with picnic tables right next to one another. Great, though, if you’re in a trailer and traveling with friends in a motorhome.
The facilities were well kept; the flowers throughout were in great shape and beautiful. The grass was lush, and the shade in our site and throughout most of the park was ample.
Laundry was coin operated with two washers and two dryers. There was a jacuzzi—nicely hidden in a gazebo near the front area of the park. Horseshoe pits, a nice sandy beach on the river, super friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere definitely exceeded our expectations.

Better than the KOA Our site 7 had full afternoon sun in the 100* heat so we went to the mountains and lakes. Sound of the river close by is nice with a couple of places to get in. Didn’t see a hot tub and couldn’t get internet. Staff - very helpful to get you into your site.

Just a great little campground. We stayed so that we could head up to Steven’s Pass during the week for some spring skiing. Our spot was right along the river and we had a fantastic view. It was quiet and the staff was super welcoming and friendly. We will be back for sure!
