At first glance, a nice KOA albeit loud traffic noise. Very good wifi. Stayed for 2 weeks. Granted it was October and there were Halloween events both weekends we were there however they did not pick up litter around the sites or campground and allowed ground fires (not in fire pits) in packed in rows. We had a neighbor who had a fire about 10’ from our motor homes propane. They have a few center rows that they really cram people in. It’s like field parking. It was not a comfortable visit. We asked to be moved twice but were told nothing was available for the weekend. Two days later they posted on their facebook page that they had RV site availability for the weekend and we saw the empty sites all weekend.

“Nice Campground ”

It’s a nice campground with a beautiful pond for fishing & swimming. There is a LOT of freeway noise. Maybe it’s just me, but I like to experience nature when camping, not the rumble of traffic.

I felt they deserved a 2 star rating because the site was uneven and had exposed tree roots near the trailer which presented a large tripping hazard, especially in the dark.
My wife encouraged me to give another star.
Next time we will opt for a premium site.

We stayed here in our 38' motorhome with toad. We only stayed a night, but the park had lots of fun amenities to make it a destination as well. We had plenty of room, sites were somewhat roomie for setting up, we had a picnic table and a firepit. The sites were gravel but we leveled up, no problem.

Best access to US-61 from I-64 is through Milton from the East or just East of Barboursville coming from the West. Driveway to US-61 is a bit tricky coming from the East because it is on an angle to the roadway and from the West need to careful of oncoming traffic - 2 lane with no turn lane. Typical KOA with lots of activities for families. Nice staff, good restroom facilities. Some sites are a bit tight but do-able. Utilities were ok, no problems. Provisioning is best at Barboursville (Menards) or Huntington (Walmart).

The staff here are the best. The have good cell service and propane on site. I stay at campground while I travel for work. I stayed here for more than a year and will stay again if I ever back here for work. The 1 and only downside is there is a little noise. from the traffic on I-64 if you are in the back of the park.

What a nice established clean campground, The staff is friendly, They have cable TV at each site over 100 channels. Their WIFI is one of the best campground WIFI's we have seen 36 Mbps. The sites are typical campground pretty level. Nice dog area. Great spot for an overnight or as a Base camp while exploring the area

I'm a tad embarrassed to say that I stayed here four years ago for one night and here I am, staying here again for two nights. The one thing that tends to really stand out both times I've stayed here is that the place seems to be laid out rather haphazardly and as a result I get a very crowded feeling. The restrooms were okay as was the laundry room. It rained while we were here and it's a good thing we had an outdoor rug to put down otherwise we would have been stepping out into a mud hole. As it was, when you stepped on the rug muddy water squished up through the rug but at least it wasn't the actual mud...yuck. Our site was gravel but on either side of the gravel area was mostly dirt/mud. It wasn't until you went out a ways from the gravel 'pad' that you encountered grass. The KOA is close to the Blenko Glass factory so that was pretty neat to visit. I've certainly stayed in nicer KOA's but I've stayed at worse ones as well. Lots of traffic noise from nearby I-64. I reckon in a real pinch I'd stay here again but I'd probably avoid it if at all possible. I sure wish KOA had better and more consistent standards across the KOA system.

We got there late and grabbed our flyer with spot number, but the whole campground smelled like sewage. When we first pulled into the grounds I thought our 4 month old needed a diaper change ... nope! It was just the park. Everything else was fine but the smell was intense. If you aren’t sensitive to smells then go for it!
