We have not camped here in September but we did in August and there were no issues with ticks, mosquitos or no-see-ums.

It’s entirely possible to experience bugs, especially mosquitoes. We use campfires and Thermacel’s to minimize.

We stayed in October and didn't have any issues with any bugs.

Not sure about September. Haven’t stayed there at that time. It IS South Carolina coastal, so I’m sure there will be some, but we’ve never had major problems with any SC campground as long as we use anti-mosquito spray.
