We had a great experience at this park. There a few great hikes accessible from the park including a short walk to the beach and creek. The hosts and rangers were very friendly and helpful and maintain the grounds, facilities, and sites beautifully. We loved having access to flush toilets and a hot shower. There are plentiful water spigots and waste water drains. Due to the coastal location, mornings were mostly cool and foggy. Our site was quite shaded with large conifers so it never really warmed up. Next time I would choose a site with southern exposure in the inner ring. Our site was also very small and had no visual barrier from one of the neighbors. There are some larger sites but in general they are on the small side so choose carefully.

We made a last-minute reservation for a RV site. There must have been a cancellation or we would not have gotten the spot. We were tent camping and there wasn’t much room for the tent. Most of the camp site was taken up by the paved RV space. The area where we could put our tent was very close to our neighbors and not private. The neighbors were quiet and I hope we didn’t bother them being so close. The site backed up against a stream so you could hear the gurgling water, however on the other side of the stream was the highway and it seemed like there were large trucks driving past the park regularly through the night. It felt like the truck was driving through our tent. The bathrooms were clean and there are showers, which we did not use. It is a short walk to the beach which is beautiful. The ocean breeze was a little chilly and I could’ve used a sweatshirt. The park itself has lots of trees and is well-maintained. Camp Hosts were friendly and helpful. Our air mattress deflated, so we ended up just staying one night out of the two we had reserved. Still, we had a good time and I’m glad we got to see that part of the coast. A tent site would have been better for us.
No cell service at our site. We could get 1 bar in a few places in the park, enough to get texts, and by the highway bridge that we had to walk under to get to the beach.

Lovely place nestled in among the trees in the arms of hills and mountains. Beach is a short walk through the campground, opens up to some stunning vistas. Reservations are online only unless you are passing through in which case you can have one night if there is an open spot. Park is clean, there are flush toilets and free showers. Water and electric only, and only in some of the spaces. Spaces are level and paved but varying in length so take careful note of space details when selecting one online. Spaces in the first loop are private, separated by hedges, access is a bit tight. Cell signal is great, no wifi. The ones in second loop are more open and grassy. Nearest town for supplies is Port Orford, about ten minutes away.

I’m convinced that whoever built Harris Beach SP Campground also built this one at Humbug Mountain SP. The bathrooms and showers look just like each other. They are equally as gorgeous. But anyway.
PROS
→ The landscaping is impeccable. The grass is lush. The trees have fuzzy green moss. Everything is so pretty.
→ The road and sites are paved.
→ The beach isn’t too far of a walk away.
→ The showers here are glorious. They are individual stalls. The showers are free with HOT water. Maybe a little too hot (temperature is fixed) but I’m not complaining! The water pressure is great.
→ Our site has water and power.
→ There’s a free dump station with water fill.
CONS
→ None that I can think of.
5-stars - This campground is gorgeous and has hit everything out of the park.

We just loved this place. This was one of the cleanest best maintained campgrounds we’ve ever stayed out. The grounds were immaculate. The fire pit had been cleaned and raked. The camp host was the best, caring for the place like it should be. The toilets and showers were spotless with a level of cleanliness that was five star!! The site was paved and flat. You are fairly close to the other sites but many sites including ours (#20) have large bush hedges that block your view of adjoining sites. Fairly close to the highway there was some noise from the logging trucks but by evening that stopped.
Oregon State Parks are great!

(This is an RVer’s review.) What a beautiful place along the Oregon coast! While not on the beach or with any ocean view, the woods and sounds of the (large) stream that meanders through the place is magnificent. It’s clean and well maintained and had a dump station. From an experience and beauty standpoint it’s 5-Star.

Not so good:
No Verison service. You have to drive toward Port Orford to pick it up.
There was road noise. If you are in a tent, you will hear trucks all day and night.
