All Texas State Parks have a reservation system. They do accept FTFS people but you're taking a chance that a site will be available. BYW, this is a wonderful Park.

Definitely reservations. They limit the number of people in the park so you need the reservation to be counted in the daily number. When we were there, there was a line up on the road and as one car left they let the same number of people in. We had reservations so were able to go right in

Yes you do and you have to call to make them. You cannot make them online. I believe you can only make reservations 90 days in advance unlike the other state parks.
