“Aggressive and abrasive owner, made for a horrible stay”

Overall Rating
The lady who worked here was fantastic and very nice to deal with. The “gentleman”, however, was aggressive and confrontational. Due to the sites being so small, parking any more than one truck per site requires parking slightly on the grass. DO NOT PARK ON THIS MANS GRASS. The lady who worked here was fantastic and very nice to deal with. The “gentleman”, however, was aggressive and confrontational.
Due to the sites being so small, parking any more than one truck per site requires parking slightly on the grass. DO NOT PARK ON THIS MANS GRASS. He will will watching and waiting, for the opportunity take his golf cart to its maximum warp speed, drive recklessly into your site, storm over in a rage and start yelling at a 16 year old girl for parking with a tire on the grass. Then once confronted by somebody his own size, will throw a dramatic hissy-fit while retreating to his golf cart to begin throwing firewood into the campsite.
Aside from the Grass commandant, the sites are essentially in a wide open field in a very windy part of the province. No trees for a wind break or shade. Try Starland recreation area instead.

Overall Rating
2023-05-20: quick and easy access to Drumheller, the city. Clean and place lot, will fit any long rig, on the outskirts. Lots of wind to clean the air. Would come back.

Located in a beautiful location in Alberta. Rolling hay fields all around and then a ‘Bad Lands’ looking Canyon that we are looking forward to hiking in tomorrow right beside the campground - hence it’s name. Bathrooms are generally clean. Campsite has 20 and 30 amp power, potable water and sewage hookup. Showers are coin operated. ... more
Located in a beautiful location in Alberta. Rolling hay fields all around and then a ‘Bad Lands’ looking Canyon that we are looking forward to hiking in tomorrow right beside the campground - hence it’s name. Bathrooms are generally clean. Campsite has 20 and 30 amp power, potable water and sewage hookup. Showers are coin operated. The place is clean. Don’t hear the road noise hardly at all and the people who run it are very nice. They also have about 15 different flavours of ice cream at the store for a yummy ice cream cone!
