I landed here after scoping out the Cliff Point campground and finding the sites tiny and all taken for the weekend. The road in off of Hwy 287 is rough and wash-boarded but if you go slow it's doable.
There are 3 campsites tucked back here at Cliff and Wade Lakes and they are all very picturesque! The Wade lake campground is much larger with larger sites than the Cliff lake campground. And the Hilltop campground has even larger sites and more privacy.
At Hilltop the sites have picnic tables and fire rings, outhouses and trash bins. There is a nice trail that starts from the campground and will take you to the other campgrounds or up the ridge.
There was absolutely no cell service in this whole area, which was really lovely for a weekend away.
Cliff and Wade lakes are absolutely stunning! Due to their more remote location, good size, and motor restrictions, they are very quiet and peaceful. The colors of the water are just gorgeous.
I definitely look forward to coming back here again!
