The park features two ballparks, and a community pool. Though there was not a ball game when I was there the locals, who were extremely friendly, were out in large numbers and it seems this park is very popular among them with lots of regular community activities. The pool is open Mon-Fri 1-5pm & 6-8pm. Sat-Sun 1-6pm.
I walked into town and had a draft at Bud's Tavern just outside the park. The tavern looks like it may be a rough place from the outside, but I found the people inside just as friendly as those at the park.
I did not have cell service at the Park, but that's probably because I'm on the Sprint network. ..definitely time to change as I continue to travel west. I saw other people on their phones, and I suspect service was fairly good on other networks. There is a mill nearby, maybe 1 mile away, that is a little noisy, but you will not hear it during the day over the other activity in the park, or inside your camper at night.

The is a small sign under the lampost on the left as you pull in that I didn't see until we had already set up. It states there are designated spaces, at least 8-10 some with electric. No fires, no tables, but there are nearby pavilions available for cooking and eating. Bathrooms weren't quite as clean as others we had seen, but it was a flush toilet and there was a sink with water. It was the only one we had come to all week and couldn't find a space. It was late, so we figured it was one night; no harm, no foul if we set up our tents for one night and leave. We had no big problems, but we could tell the locals were used to strangers sleeping in their nearby city park. There are gas stations in town, but if you want a cup of coffee in the morning, you might want to bring some cash.
