We stayed at Hidden Paradise for two nights through the week. Arriving Tuesday afternoon and leaving Thursday morning. We booked site 74 right on the river. Our site was small but very nice. The grass was in good shape and it was fairly level. Luckily the sites to the left and right of us were not booked and I was able to maneuver the travel trailer into place easily. I can imagine that on a busy weekend getting your rig into place on the river sites could be a bit of hassle. The sites are tight and in order to park parallel with the river and have your door facing it you must pull either through the sites next to you or be a hell of driver. We had several trees on our site so we weren’t able to use our awning, but the trees offered plenty of shade so it wasn’t an issue. Water and electric were very close. I only used one 25ft lol water hose and 30amp electric cord. You share a water supply with the site next to you. So if you book an odd number site on the river be prepared to have a little bit longer run of water hose and electric cord. The campground it’s self is very large and they have several sites, and several seasonal sites. Some of the sites are well spaced out and large while others are a little cramped. The river is very nice. It’s not a large river and I would classify it more as a large creek. You could easily walk it if you like. I think most people tube down it. It seemed clean and we saw several fish. We utilized the walking trails around the campground and saw some scenic views of rock cliffs and small ponds. The campground has two shower/bathroom houses, both are located right next to each other in the center of the campground. From some of the sites the walk to the bath house could be a tad far. One of the bath houses is older but appeared to be well maintained and clean. The other seemed newer or freshly renovated. It offered private shower rooms with a restroom and sink inside. The showers were very large and spacious and had ice cold a/c. This shower house was also very clean and well maintained. The camp store had everything you could need and then some. The playground was nice and during our stay they were doing updates to it. The quarry was clean and clear. There’s no beach area so don’t get the idea that you’ll be hanging out lake side in your beach chair enjoying a beverage. It’s all docks and floating obstacles. Perfect for the kids. You do have to pay extra for lake access, but if you’re camping it’s reasonable. They have a newer dump station with dual access in the rear of the campground as well as an older dump station along the exit road. The campground also had decent WiFi that I was able to use to stream movies. This could be due to us being the only occupants at the campground at the time. I’m assuming performance drops when the campground is full.
Bottom line we booked this campground to stay along the river and just relax, and it didn’t disappoint. I will say that if you have smaller children that require closer attention you may want to look elsewhere just due to how the quarry is set up and not having an actual beach. If your kids are older and you can let them roam around and do their things while you chill at the campsite then Hidden Paradise is perfect. I imagine that this place fills up on the weekends, especially during the summer. The sites are tight and I could see maneuverability being difficult if the campground is crowded, just something to think about. We enjoyed our time and I do think we would return.

We loved our stay at Hidden Paradise! The owners and all the employees are awesome. It’s a fun family getaway. Kids and adults were always in the river and playing on the inflatables in the quarry. Karaoke on the weekend is tons of fun! We took the kayaks down the river. Some rocky parts but mostly smooth sailing. Saw a bald eagle, 2 blue heron and caught blue gill and bass. All ages and races together. It truly felt like America again!!! In fact, we all forgot about covid and riots while here. Thank you Hidden Paradise for giving us that feeling again.
