We have been full-time RVers for 9 years. Five years ago after our first grandchild was born, we were able to get a seasonal site here and we’ve been returning ever since. The campground has all the amenities you need, is beautifully maintained, and the owners are very welcoming and accommodating. In all our years this is probably one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve been to. LOVE IT HERE!

Beautiful campground, has playgrounds, pool, a fishing pond, laundry, shower rooms, a small store, fire pits and a dog park. Beautifully kept, clean grassy wide open areas to walk. Sites are a bit unlevel, we had to move from our first one, but they were very accommodating. Quiet friendly people. WiFi, but it is slow! Big rig friendly for our 40 foot fifth wheel. Perfect location to visit Flight 93 and Fallingwater.

We are not luxury resort campers as the campground to us is just a place to park the RV while we see sites in the area. We rarely use amenities in a campground. So for us, this is a perfect camground in the beautiful Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania located only 8 miles off the PA Turnpike near Somerset. Our site was level and nicely spaced out. We will definitely stay here again!!! We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.

The restrooms were clean and fairly new. The roads are stone and is fairly hilly but site was pretty level. The pool is really small but n one was even there while I stayed. Staff was super friendly. Was there for Father's day and they had a nice little BBQ with pay for food.
Verizon had no service as did TMobile. ATT had 2 bars and barely usable speeds of 1 mpbs down. Add a booster and I got 20 mbps down. What an amazing difference.
Oh yeah, do not try and come up from the south in WV. Horrible ride north from the interstate. One hill was so steep I was not sure I was going to make it. Luckily I did albeit at 5 mph. Very thin and in need of desperate repair.

This is the best private park in the area by far. I’ve heard the state parks are nice, but for a long-term stay and FHU’s, this place is it. Very clean and well kept, nice size sites. When we were there (after Labor Day) the pool was already closed, but looked nice. Great store. Nice pond for fishing. It was quiet and great to take walks in the evenings. There is a lot of seasonals but in a different section than transients. (Note: rate quoted above is $450 for month divided by 30 nights)

Nestled between a rolling green hill that serves as pasture for grazing cattle and thick Pennsylvanian woodlands, Hickory Hollow is situated in the beautiful Laurel Highlands, 8 miles outside of Somerset and less than an hour from Ohiopyle.
There are basically three zones that serve as RV areas, one which is close to the highway and is primarily filled with seasonal RVs, another that falls on the northern hill, and the primary visitors area which is basically a large field with multiple gravel spots, each with their own hookups and a small grass patch.
Cows on the southern hillside migrate from the bottom of the hill to the top of the hill, spending the hottest hours of the day under the shade of a tree, and this will be your primary view when looking out of your front door. An exclusively-goat petting zoo awaits your children at the bottom of that hill, and across the driveway are paddleboats that you can use to laze away a day in the small lake that’s right inside of the campground. Best of all, I’d surmise, is the giant “hillbilly slip n’ side” that the owners have built from a large farm tarp, some sand, and a hose. Seriously, if you’ve ever been on a dinosauric slip n’ slide, or if you’ve never been but always wanted to try, this is a blast for hours.
The office also holds a small store, nothing special but if you need some snacks or camping essentials — from s'mores to toilet paper — you’re in luck.
We stayed in August and there were farm’s selling freshly harvested veggies and corn everywhere; drive between the campground itself and Somerset and you’ll likely pass four or five of them. There’s also an RV store nearby where you can buy your more substantial needs. Somerset itself is a very small city, and though it has a quaint little downtown and even a nice cafe with WiFi (Maggie May’s), don’t expect to find much to do therein.
The laundry and bathrooms are both amazingly clean, the staff is incredibly nice and informative.
