Our site, lot 15, shared a utility box with his neighbor. We both had 30 amp service but we probably wouldn't have been able to plug-in had we not brought our extension cord. I highly recommend one.
Adventures of Roy the Airstream would stay here again

If you like off the beaten path rustic campgrounds, then this may be the place for you. The Jonesport Town Park is on a peninsula over looking the Harbor, Beals Island and Great Wass Island. Jonesport and the surrounding area is rural Downeast Maine fishing village. There is a hardware store, small grocery store, two places to get pizza and a few other shops scattered here or there. You are about a half hour to anything larger in Michias or Milbridge which are on Route One.
There are about 22 sites, about a third seasonal campers. Half the sites are directly on the water and the others are across the campground loop with water views. The sites face mainly West and some face South. There are few trees to shade the sites, most trees are behind the sites in the interior of the small peninsula. There is water everywhere, including marshy area on the northeast side of the peninsula. So, it has the potential of being buggy. WE were there is early September with rainy weather with little breeze. There were mosquitoes about, but at least not swarming.
The sites on the water will give your outdoor living space more privacy , than the ones across the road. There is no screening between sites. Some are more private than others. The interior sites tend to be closer together. The sites are uneven, so be prepared to level a bit. There is electrical hookups, but no dump or potable water. There is a tank of water available for your use. There is a vault toilet and a port a potty. Once a week a truck comes around to pump people out. There is a dumpster for trash.
The water table is fairly high here and you are on a rocky peninsula, so if it is has been rainy it takes time for things to drain and dry out.
If you want to smell the salt air, watch the forever changing tide, and hear the the lobster boats go out, don’t care about amenities, then this might be the perfect place for you. If you need more than this, you have been forewarned that this is not an RV resort. You can’t go wrong with $20 a night.
You need to call the town offices to get the phone number of the campground manager, who was very helpful.
We had 4 bars of LTE extended service with Verizon. We did not have to use our Weboost.

Heard about this town C/G from a Canadian friend who has explored Maine for decades. The C/G is located on township land overlooking a working harbor with many commercial fishing and lobster boats moored in front of the campsites. There is electric, some 50 amp, some 30 amp, but mostly 20 amp service. They bring in treated water which is available and usually self-served. A pump truck comes in once a week and for $25 will pump your black/gray water tanks. There are tables and fire rings which define the site locations. There are a few seasonal rv's and everybody is friendly.
In spite of the laid back amenities this is a beautiful camping place right next to a picturesque harbor, looking across the water to the town's waterfront. Tidal flow here is extreme so you are treated to neverending change of your waterfront. It is a beautiful place.
The town is tired and struggling economically and remotely placed at end of peninsula near Beal Island. C/G can be seen from the town and hgwy 187. Just east of town look for Kelly Pt. Rd. (also marked Campground) and turn right. Next right looks like a long driveway (sign overgrown is marked Campground). Take a right and follow narrow drive to end to the park and camp.
