This Campground is managed by the CAL Fire Tulare Co. division. Bears can be problematic there use the bear boxes to store food, that's what they're there for. Can get crowded on holiday and hot summer valley weekends. Help this fire crew out and keep the park clean, fighting fires in remote mountainous locations is hard enough with out having to worry about cleaning up after disrespectful people. On site camping, bear boxes, outhouses.
The pond is great to learn how to trout fish and to teach kids how to fish. It's a beautiful setting with in the Sequoia National Forest in the mountain home demonstration California state forest. This pond is stocked with state hatchery rainbow trout.
