“Don't park on the peninsula”

This site is beautiful, however, the peninsula is private property. We park on the peninsula based on previous reviews and the video posted...however you should not. Parking is only near the playground area, there is a small parking lot available for camping.

This is a great place for a few days. There are folks coming and going but not very many. It’s very quiet here. I parked on a gravel area to the left as you drive into the park. The bay was just a few feet away. I watched pelicans fish from my window. There are lots of birds here. I even saw a mamma dolphin play with her baby ab... more
This is a great place for a few days. There are folks coming and going but not very many. It’s very quiet here. I parked on a gravel area to the left as you drive into the park. The bay was just a few feet away. I watched pelicans fish from my window. There are lots of birds here. I even saw a mamma dolphin play with her baby about 200 feet from my camper. There was one other camper parked here.

Haterius Park is a well maintained, appealing park, and I have to complement the Calhoun County Commission for making this wonderful facility available to the general public. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 17.6 Mbps download speed and 0.87 Mbps upload speed. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 46.7 Mbps download speed and 3.67 Mbps upload speed.
