10-8-2020 Another Oregon State Park 1 nighter for us on a RV road trip. This is a big Campground right close to the beach. But most sites are set back in the Spruce forests. Its a very popular place with a lot of people spending their whole vacation here. So reservations highly recommended. Showers were closed due to covid, as are all Oregon State Parks. All the one nighters "first come first serve" were put in the tent "C" loop (no hookups). No other sites were available. You literally had to leave the next morning. No 2 nights.
This camp is very convenient to Brookings just minutes away so its what I call "city camping".
Just a heads up: It is right next to Hwy 101 and you can hear road noise 24/7. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc Even logging trucks using their Jake brakes as they come down the hill into Brookings. So personally I wouldn't want to stay here any longer than overnight.

Only here for one night but will return for a longer stay! Very clean and well maintained State Park, one of the nicest that we have stayed in. Most spaces are large and private, we stayed at A21 which had a tree filtered view of the spectacular coastline and beach. Plenty of great hiking trails and beaches to explore.

This is a nice RV site but no access to shower during pandemic. Also no campfire allowed when we stayed there. Trail to beach is nice and only took us 10 mins to walk to beach in the morning. Highly recommended.

There is so much to do you won’t need your car while here. We biked, swam, hiked, played in the sand and rick pools, and blackberry picked (August!). They are very strict about your departure time. Our toddler was napping which delayed us a little and that definitely wasn’t appreciated. But they were able to get us in early which was wonderful. We’ll be coming back here forever!
Full hook ups are great and we also used the dump station here later on our trip.

This is our third time staying at this campground and we love it. Our site was very private, clean and beautiful. The beach is a short walk down a steep ramp. There wasn't much wind, so we hung out at the beach all weekend long. Beautiful views everywhere!

Spent 4 nights here this time. It was our 3rd trip. Love the area. The park is wooded and close to the ocean but not an easy walk. Bath and showers are fine for a state park. We had a real issue getting into our spot. No angle whatsoever.

If you have Kids its a great site for you. We booked 9 or 11 months in advance which ever they allowed. The best sites with a water view are 20 and 24. There's a trail that goes along the coast and one that walks down to the water. The one that walks to the water had big rock formations & tidal pools. There is a nice hike not far from there near Loeb state park ( a little past the park entrance on the left side of the road) with ancient Big Cedars, hardly anyone there. Some of the site don't have any privacy. They sell good firewood there, great camp hosts.
You can drive to the beach in the state park & walk a long way, big waves & tidal pools
We drove down to the harbor & bought some Big Dungeness crab, they will cook it for you, we took it back to the camper & cooked it later. So good!!
We went to the CA Redwoods National Park it's not to far from the campground.
