This site has a lot to like. May spots, each with lots of room, access to water and trails, and electricity and water at each campsite, and easy access to Boston and surrounding areas. We did have some issue with Massachusetts jacking up the out-of-state rates to about double pre-COVID fees. In addition, we had some issues checking in, even though we had done pre-registration online. Also, directions/settings for GPS should add "Lorraine Park Campground Entrance". We had a rather long, though scenic, drive in just entering "Harold Parker State Forest". Even so, we had a good experience and would return in the future.

Campground road is narrow, likely the entire place better for tenters. Bathrooms were clean, it was quiet, the park itself has amazing mountain biking. We were their during a flash flood rainstorm, and after drying Our we got back out of our site. I problem, but backing in and pulling out of this was sketchy, deep slope.

This is a very nice campground close to busy areas near Boston. I didn’t expect it to be this rural just a few minutes from the main hwy. very convenient for visiting Boston sites as well as the North Shore. Groceries, restaurants and shops are close by as well. I had a nice site far from neighbors, lots of shade was helpful as it was hot. I did not use the facilities much but they were new and clean. Not many sites with electricity- lots of tent sites. The dump station was well laid out.
My site was pretty level but had a dip which became a lake after a heavy rain, it drained quickly after it stopped. The angle they made for the trailer was in the wrong direction and trees made it challenging but I ended up pulling straight in and had room to drive my truck out thru the trees.

Nice campground. Mostly for tents. Some level site for RVs. Only a few in one section with water and electric. Most tent sites have water. Has a dump on site at entrance. Did have several TV channels and cell service was good. Close to beaches and Rockport and Gloucester( 30-45 minutes)

Unless your neighbors are loud, it's quiet at night, and in the morning, you're less than a hour from Boston, Salem, Gloucester and you're not too far from New Hampshire and Portsmouth, ME.
