Ended up here after deciding to stop on my way up to Glacier NP. Only one other person here at the time, very quiet. I took site #4, which just fit my 20' trailer and tow rig - didn't unhook and the site was perfectly level which was nice. No water, no dump, no power. Bathroom available but I didn't check it out myself. Cell signal ... more

Cell signal is great - 15-20mbps down 2mbps up on tmobile/sprint, 7-12mbps down 1mbps up on Verizon. Worked off tmobile with no issue.
Some highway noise being right off 93 North, but very quiet at night. No complaints. Great place for a stop over, albeit a bit expensive for what it is.

We were a little concerned with previous reviews saying it had small sites (we are 34 ft class A pulling a Jeep. Not a problem at all! Maybe they enlarged the sites since previous reviews? There are 5 sites at this Montana fishing access. Site 1, 4, and 5 are right on the river. We stayed in 5 the first night, but moved to 4 the next day when it came open since we preferred it (needing more sun exposure for panels, 5 was fully shaded). Right on the river, one vault toilet near site 4 and 5. No trash bins, no water, no dump. Little pricy for out-of-towners at $18 per night, but it had fabulous Verizon cell service and that’s what we needed since our daughter was starting virtual school. Some road noise as well from both sides of the river, but it would quiet down at night. Saw fishermen at the river every day and several boats and floats on the weekend. Town of Darby is just north with restaurants, groceries, and library with wifi if needed. Little pricier than we prefer, but no cell service at any of the forest service sites south.

Small but nice stop along the way. A little road noise but not bad....There are maybe five or six maybe seven small sites so I don’t know if big rigs would work here but my 16 foot travel trailer fit in spot number five just fine. It was perfect for overnight, clean, quiet and, right on the Bitterroot River.

“Good pads, close to supplies and fishing”
Reviewed 1/18/2016
Well maintained State site with close access to fishing here and within 15-30 minutes of driving. Close to Darby for supplies. Highway 93 is close but for the most part not too loud. Can hear the water flowing from most spots and has good tree coverage.
