Arrived mid afternoon to a sunny campground. The river was in a valley with steep hills on both sides. Saw deer grazing on the slope across the river. The drawback was the early morning boat noise. Verizon has bad reception in the area even though there is a cell tower in the area. Cost $10 or $5 with a America the Beautiful pass. Would camp here again.

Overall Rating
Very nice sites away from all noise except the wonderful river. Sites near the river are shorter and not as level. The dump station is currently available despite what some other sources may advise.

So thrilled we stopped to overnight here. Thurs night early Aug and we were the only campers here. Site 8 has a little path right to the river with a sandy beach area—our kids and us loved splashing and cooling off. Flush toilets in clean bathrooms. So thrilled we stopped to overnight here. Thurs night early Aug and we were the only campers here. Site 8 has a little path right to the river with a sandy beach area—our kids and us loved splashing and cooling off. Flush toilets in clean bathrooms. Flat, clean, peaceful and the only noises are the river and some birds. Many cars in the overflow lot but no people. Believe they are on rafting trips, so imagine it must get busy at some point. AT&T is strong and our starlink is working well too. Also seems to be no mosquitos while there and only saw a few yellow jackets before sunset. Would happily return here!

Overall Rating
Easy access from the old Hwy, tucked away in the back, last campground. If you don’t see the Hammer Creek sign to the right from the road, you will miss it. Great stay, few steps from the Salmon river. $10 the night but if you have Access it’s half the price.

I loved this park and especially this spot! It is right on the river and has a small private beach. During the week when the park was empty we spent hours on the little beach. Cooling water soft breezes awwwwww! Plus $5 with park pass had dump station, potable water and flush toilets right there. Paved site picnic tables fire rings!!... more

Plus $5 with park pass had dump station, potable water and flush toilets right there. Paved site picnic tables fire rings!!!!! Awesome host and beautiful park. Oh and eat at Hoots! No cell service does not take off stars for me!🥰

We had a great stay here. Flat spot with table and fire pit. Very nice bathrooms and free dump close by. It is in a beautiful canyon and we walked 20' out our door onto a great private beach on the Salmon River. There was one couple the first night and no one the second night. We hit it just right. We had a great stay here. Flat spot with table and fire pit. Very nice bathrooms and free dump close by. It is in a beautiful canyon and we walked 20' out our door onto a great private beach on the Salmon River. There was one couple the first night and no one the second night. We hit it just right. Sites were $10.00 plus $4.00 extra vehicle. We have the Golden Age pass so we paid only $7.00. Dry camping, no internet, tv. ATT did not work here.
