easy checkin, nice host, but not the right price for what we got. I would boondock next time.

Attaching a phot9 of our weed filled little picnic table next to our rig.

Our Ford navigation was having a bad day and wanted us to take Exit 91 from I-80 west bound to get to the campground (CG). That exit would have you going through the middle of town, but the alternate navigation we always run (either Waze and/or Google Maps) brought us to the correct exit for the CG. We double-checked the website and verified they are located right off of I-80 at Exit 85 (east bound) or 89 (west bound). When we got to the CG, another rig was checking in, so we had to sit on the somewhat busy road until we could make the turn on the street for the CG office. The lady checking us in was super friendly and we proceeded to the upper E section to pull through site 11 with FHUs. The pad was plenty long enough for our 40’ fifth wheel and our F450. The utilities worked fine but we needed a reducer as the water pressure was around 100 psi. We read reviews concerning low water pressure and they were working on the waterline in the CG so be aware. There are trees in or near most of the sites. We put our Starlink in the front part of the pad for a northern sky shot. There are 34 sites in the E section; 19 pull-throughs plus 10 small back-ins and 4 tent sites on the back fence where I-80 runs (you will hear road noise anywhere in this CG). There’s a bathhouse and a small fenced dog area. While we were here for 3 days, the poop bag dispenser was empty and the regular-sized garbage can in the dog area was 1/2 full of poop bags. The laundry facility is in the bottom section where the larger back-in sites/permanent party are located. We checked out the public river access at the end of the road down from where the office is located. You could launch a kayak, but there isn’t much parking. After trying to log into the CG WiFi several times, we connected and the WiFi was not good. We got 3 bars on Verizon. One of the transient workers started a loud diesel truck and let it run a long time before departing each morning. Unfortunately, this is a typical occurrence in these types of CGs. We were impressed with the local area brochures they gave us on local dining and the wild horses. They have 24-hour laundry and showers in the CG. In our humble opinion, the best thing about this CG was the coffee and craft beer on draft at the office. They have 4 craft beers on draft and you can get a flight for $5. The coffee and draft beers at the officer are worth checking out. Try a burger on a cornmeal bun at Broadway Burger Station in Rock Springs. This CG was okay for an overnighter or a couple of days at most.

Park was overall a disappointment. The “long term” stay area that had access to laundry was quite a hike from the “short stay” area. Although bathrooms were clean and seemed newly remodeled, that’s where the “upgrades” seemed to stop. The spot we were assigned to had a broken (laying on the ground) site marker and the electrical box was wobbly with a missing cover and extremely loose connections. (We asked to move sites which wasn’t a problem as there were only about five of us in the “short stay” area.) Lots of old (and fresh) piles of dog poop also added to the disappointing experience.
Positives are that the folks were nice & bathrooms.
I would pass on this park unless improvements are made.

It's ok for a pit stop while traveling. One thing I would suggest: If you don't want to unhitch for the night, then get a pull through site. We booked our site about 3 months in advance and wanted a back-in site. Well, when we went to back in, we realized that we would not be able to unhitch our truck because it would be sticking way out into the road. So, I requested a pull through site, which they obliged. However, that ended up costing me another $20. So the total for the one night ended up being over $60. Also, the Wi-Fi was lousy. It would work for a few minutes, go out and then come back on and so on. There's not a lot of campsites in this area of Wyoming, so you might have to suck it up and stay. I'd probably stay again if we were traveling through the area. The place seemed clean, however it was a little noisy with the interstate traffic.

Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Asphalt pad with very large patio grass spot. Site #E-12
Would stay again.
General:
1) Overall peaceful (minus road noise and trains) and can be left alone.
2) Close to Flaming Gorge and some other interesting things to see.
3) Nice people. Staff is trying.
Campground WiFi:
-Unable to connect any day during stay.
Cell/hotspot using booster:
-AT&T: (2 of 4 bars—4G)
-Verizon: (3 of 4 bars—4G).
Details:
Check-in: Office closed on Sunday (maybe a seasonal choice)
Sites: Pad is paved asphalt. Living space is grass-ish.
Campground Road: Well-maintained. Asphalt.
Grounds: Generally clean but noting that the dumpster was overflowing for most the first week of our stay.
Bathrooms/Showers: Nice newly renovated showers in stall-style sections.
Laundry: New washers and dryers in a nice building.
Location: Gas, groceries and restaurants 5-10 min away.
Near highway: Yes. Off of an interstate but not all that loud.
Near train: Yes.
Site E-12: Great site BUT water is broken and other people seem to think the site is a place to walk and play with their dogs. So, it is distracting.
WORTH NOTING: Maintenance issue - water at site E-12
-The water was de-winterized during our stay and they ran into a problem with a broken water spout on our site. It was attempted not fully fixed during our stay. We filled our fresh tank from the neighbor site a couple of times.

In the upper campground, the pull-thru sites are paved and level with gravel/dirt between them. There are gravel back-in/tent sites on the perimeter. Note that the sites are close together, so don’t let that be a surprise. The staff is very friendly and the shower rooms were bright, clean and had good water pressure with plenty of hot water.
5 bars on Verizon and lots of open sky for Starlink.
Our pull-thru was $48 per night plus a $4 per night pet fee. This is a Good Sam Campground so we got the discount. Grand total for each night with tax was $51.58.
If we’re every passing through again, we would stay here.

There IS significant traffic noise from the highway, and from the long trains that go along the railroad on the other side of the Green River (they don’t blow their horns, though, they just rumble past). Even with that one negative, we would certainly stay again.
No problems at all with Starlink here.

We only stayed one night on our way thru. They were so helpful in accommodating our big rig, 75ft overall. We will return, the staff and owner are what makes this place shine. It’s clean, friendly, easy on and off of I80. Excellent beers on tap and dog friendly what else could you ask for!

“BAIT AND SWITCH DON'T STOP HERE!”
noted 7/16/2021
BAIT AND SWITCH I made reservations for one night and carefully explained I was traveling in a 17' travel trailer and needed to take on water. They quoted me a price in the low $30 range. I asked for an email confirmation which they said they did not do. So 4 days later I showed up and they said the price was $49 and change. I explained what I was quoted and said sorry but no correction. They explained the only way to fill my water tank and pump out was the higher price. This is a clear case of BAIT AND SWITCH. They made no attempt to help into the site. They charged for a pet and the pet walk cage has no shade, no place to sit. So what the pet fee was for who knows. DON'T STOP HERE!
