“Great Small Town Park”

The park itself is huge, clean and well maintained. Many facilities and well used by the townspeople. Very dog friendly, lots of places to walk. The RV section has a few picnic tables and grills. Lots of trash barrels scattered around. When I needed to make a change to my reservation, I called City Hall and they were very kind and helpful. Currently $25 without sewer, $30 with. $10 if you use the dump station. More traffic than we expected, seems like it’s a shortcut of sorts or something. The angle of the approach makes it awkward to back in and if it was full it would be almost impossible. Do not take your RV all through the park to get a better approach angle, there are many low hanging trees. In order to use the dump station you have to back in to it. ONLY 50 amp plugs, so 30 amp rigs will need an adaptor. Some sites are not level front to back or side to side, since the asphalt pads are all designed to be shared with another camper it was difficult to level and stay on your own side. Site #2 has a pole in the way of backing up all the way, so it is not as long as the website states. Site #9 has an overhanging tree, so may not work for taller rigs. I applaud the town of Shiner for creating this RV area and overall, I would stay again if I was in the area.

Spent 2 nights here first of Feb. to visit the Shiner Brewery. Which is very close. This is the Shiner Municipal Park. Extremely pretty and very well maintained park. Don't know why I didn't take any pictures. We were the only ones there. Was traffic from the park usage and the municipal services vehicles. For such a small town, they have a great park. And very large. Very quiet at night and police come through once in awhile. Full hook ups. Just be aware, the site we were at had only 50 amp and 120 volt connections for electrical. Had to use my 30 - 50 amp plug adapter. I am a 30 amp rig. Plenty of water pressure. Be sure to use a water regulator so you don't blow out any water lines. I would definitely stay here again on a trip to Shiner. The brewer4y tour was great!
