We stayed at Grayland Beach SP for four mid-week nights May 16-20. Beautiful campground with spacious sites. We opted for #76, which backs up to the dunes. There are several beach trails and #3 was very close to our site. The campground is well laid out with easy access for big rigs, sites all looked fairly level with varying levels of privacy/trees. Most are back-in, although there were a few very large pull through sites we noted for future reservations. :)
The weather was typical NW spring - don't like it? Wait 5 minutes. Given that and the midweek days we often were alone or had only one or two other campers in our loop. What we loved best was walking the beach with rarely another soul in sight. Callie, our English Mastiff, actually had a chance to romp off-leach on the beach. A novel experience that she totally enjoyed. Vehicles are allowed on the beach, but everyone we saw was careful and drove slowly.
My only, albeit minor, knock is there weren't any hiking options other than the beach - at least that we found. We made trips to Westport and Tokeland to take advantage of fresh seafood at The Seafood Connection (Westport) and Nelson Crab Co. (Tokeland). FYI - the razor clam pepperoni at Nelson's was delicious!
We got 2 bars of Verizon 4G, which the Wilson Sleek could boost to 4 bars. Overall, we loved the campground and would highly recommend it.

Had no idea what sites were reserved and how much the different sites cost. Ended up guessing, paid in the envelope, and had to settle the difference the next morning. As others have written, a very clean and well laid out campground.Tokens needed for showers. Sites were good sized and somewhat private. Beach access sites cost more than the others. My only issue is that although you pay for a prime site, there is no beach view. You have to climb the dune above the campsite to see the beach and it's a bit of a walk to even get to the beach. I'm guessing the dunes protect the sites from the wind which could be nice. For one night, park was fine, but there are many campgrounds along the coast with beach views.

We stayed at Grayland over Christmas this year and it was fantastic. We loved our site (67), which was quite private and had our own trail to the beach, but as we walked around the campground we didn't see any sites that weren't nice and private, with the exception of 108 and 107, which are really close together. As others have mentioned, the sites closer to the beach have less tree coverage (which is sometimes nice to have with the winter storms out here). Grayland Beach is a well run campground with clean (coin-op) showers and a dump station with a threaded clean-out hose.
The beach next to the campground is huge and goes forever in both directions, with almost no one there in the winter.
We loved it and look forward to coming here again.

The boyfriend and I refer to Grayland as our "happy place". This is a great park for camping in the late fall or winter when you get one of those spectacular pacific northwest winter days in January and February.
I've stayed at this park several times, both in the full hookup loops and the beach loops that only have water and electric hookups. I much prefer the beach loops due to the access to the beach trails. The older loops closer to the main entrance are nice and generally pretty private, but the extra distance from the beach makes them less desirable to me. Your mileage may vary.
All of the camp sites are paved and pretty level. The restroom facilities have always been clean, well lit and easily accessible. I love the shower setup for the bathrooms that do have shower facilities in them. Each one is private so you don't feel like you're showering with everyone else in the campground!
The beach trails are all well marked and make the walk down to the beach easy for anyone. Once you get out to the beach, it's just ocean and beach for as far as you can see. This is great for letting the dogs run and explore, just watch out for the traffic since vehicles are allowed on the beach. It's great for collecting shells, digging for clams during the clamming season and just generally being one with nature.
There will probably be a bit of a line at the dump station on Sunday mornings during the busy season, but most of the time we've had no wait at all.
We never have cell phone service in the campgrounds but out on the beach, it's amazing! We have AT&T.

We've been to some of Washington's nicest state parks, and this one ranks right up there with them in terms of the campground itself. There's an old section with full hookups... we stayed in the newer section which has water & electric. No lineup at the dump station when you camp in January (around here)!
The back-in campsites arranged in "circles" are spacious, private, and very well-maintained. A very few pull-throughs are not very private. Yurts have been erected on a few sites, sprinkled throughout the campground. The beach is endless (this time of year you need rubber boots or waterproof shoes to get out to the surf... nearer the dunes it's a maze of puddles. Or you can walk about 1/3 mile to a causeway of sorts that's built up to enable vehicles to get to the beach. Yes, they're allowed out there... not many there in January, though.
When the rain did come, we used Verizon to watch the latest Downton Abbey episode on our laptop. 4G, 3 bars in the campsites nearer the access road... down to 3G and 1-2 bars in the campsites (like ours) nestled up to the dunes. Simply suspend your mobile phone from A/C vent for maximum reception.
We'd recommend this state park to anyone who likes beachcombing, long walks, falling asleep to the sound of pounding surf.

Sites were close enough to the ocean to hear and smell it, but there are forests and dunes between sites and the view. I stayed in a dry site, but there were lots of hookup sites (full hookups and W/E, I think) as well. All roads and sites paved. Some sites had enough tree clearance for decent solar.
It was a decent but unremarkable state park. Very well maintained. No complaints.
