We split our stay between 2 sites, #297 and then #298 to get better sun exposure for our solar charging. #298 is a gem of a campsite. Spacious, private, a view of the lake, and easy access to the nature trail that provided us with beautiful sunsets every night. We saw 3 Elk walking on the sandbar and swimming one evening - which was incredible 😍 Access to showers, laundry, and convenience items was nice. The showers were especially good. This campground is operated by a third party vendor and they do a surprisingly great job. We were here during a super busy time of the year (4th of July) and the campground was a quiet respite from the crowded park.

The sites are well spaced out, so people aren’t on top of eachother. It’s a very woodsy campground and every site has a firepit and picnic table. We were right near the bathrooms which also had a dishwashing station. We were quite a walk away from the showers which had an attendant. So after exploring for the day, we would stop at the showers before heading back to the campsite. We were alotted 2 showers a day.
Overall lovely campground. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because it’s boondocking and not full hookups. There’s also zero service and no way to use the starlink in a heavily forested area.

Ok, nice showers and bath. But 3 stars cause 8ts a typical tourist trap campground. Small sites, overcrowded and way overpriced.

I hadn’t booked a campground before coming to Yellowstone. Pulled I to this campground and was treated incredibly. Came after 6pm and got a campsite.
All that you’d want, great hosts, food, service areas.
Would recommend rebooking or coming here before 11am to check for open spots.

Great Lake side campground. It has a wonderful hiking trail along the lake Many of the sites are fairly tight. Try to stay in Loop E as that one is the closest to the lake and has the best views and access to hikes.

Great campground with showers, ice, laundry and store very close by. If your staying in cg you get a 2/day shower voucher for as many days as your staying. Clean bathrooms with sinks and separate tiny room to do dishes if you want. No generators after 8pm which is nice! They are VERY strict on bear aware/safe food storage. More than once folks got their coolers (that were stored by the table) taken away and fined. Keep a clean camp. Have US cellular but barely able to text. Full wifi up at Mammoth visitor center.

Grant is a wonderful campground. Our site was very private even though it backed up to the road into the campground. The pull through was tight enough that we actually had to back out to avoid a tree but that was our only issue. There were water spigots nearby and dumpsters evenly spaced. It was well treed so lots of shade during a hot summer stay (tough on the solar panels though). Elk walked right through our site. This was a great spot to bike around and go down to the water. The only issue with Grant is the location isn't quite as convenient to get to sites (other than Old Faithful) but all in all a great stay and we would stay here again. Zero cell service so enjoy the quiet and lack of screens!

The campground is well-designed with loops that are easy to navigate. Yes, they pack quite a few campsites in here but they are not unreasonably close together. There are plenty of trees in the campground which helps. Our neighbors were quiet at night, which made for a good experience. Facilities are aging but in good condition. Flush toilets.
They did mess up our reservation by putting another party into the same campsite but we worked it out.

I don’t know HOW this campsite has minimal bugs but it does!
It does feel a little crowded at times but wasn’t a huge problem.
I do sleep camper van and my site was a bit unleveled but if you’re camping then that shouldn’t be a problem
