We were not sure we had a site until just a few days before arrival.
The casino does not have an online reservation system so we had to rely on the front desk to take our reservation, but it was one of the most difficult experiences we've had. We started calling a few months in advance and rarely talked to an actual person. We left voice mail with no call back and when we reached a person at the desk, we were promised that a message would be passed along and we'd get a call back. That never happened.
At one point, we were told that we could park in the casino parking lot (no hookups) if we were not able to reserve a spot in the campground. A couple of weeks before our planned arrival, someone from the front desk answered the phone and without hesitation, took my information and made the campground reservation. It left me wondering why it had been so hard all along. I was pretty happy that we were able to get a full hookup site a couple of weeks in advance during the summer travel season.
Check-in was pretty straightforward. We waited our turn in line while two people were at the desk. But one left and we waited another 10 minutes until she came back before we were able to finally check in. After showing ID and credit card, we were told to find any available spot in the campground then come back at our convenience just to let them know where we landed. When we went back the next afternoon to inform them, a different front desk person looked at our info and told us that we were not checked in after all. I'm not complaining so don't get me wrong, but this may help explain why I felt like getting into the campground was difficult.
We were in site 29 which is a corner site and gave us a great deal of space around us. There was a picnic table and fire ring. The site came with 30/50 amp hookups, but our surge protector flashed a "low voltage" message on the 50 amp side so we used the 30. Water pressure was pretty low while we were there, I registered 20 psi and I normally see more than that. The bath house was a short walk down the road with restrooms and a laundry room. The laundry room had only one washer ($2) and one dryer (no cost).
The campground location was fantastic. We were within walking distance to the casino and restaurant, and a "trading post" just across the street with gas/diesel and groceries. The Grand Portage National Monument Heritage Center was just a few minutes down the road and the ferry to Isle Royale just a few minutes beyond that.
This is the only place in the area to stay. It was convenient, priced okay, and we'll come back on our next trip to Isle Royale.

THE GOOD
Sites: Every site is really spacious. Some sites have a better view of the water than others. Ours (site) had a nice view of the lake.
Grounds: Clean and maintenance was decent.
Marina: You are right at the marina and can fish from it.
Gas/Food: Gas is at the casino (regular and diesel). The groceries in the gas station are surprisingly well stocked with lots of choices. The nearest grocery store (other than the gas station) is 30 minutes away.
Restaurant: The casino has a pretty good restaurant (don't expect quick service and the wait can be a bit) and deli for quick food.
Isle Royale NP: Not even 10 minutes from where the boat launches for Windigo Visitor Center (book well in advance).
Canada border: 15 minutes away.
Waterfalls: Lots of waterfalls and state parks to visit on the U.S. side along the lake. Most within and hour of the casino. Some within an hour and a half or closer to Duluth.
THE BAD:
Bugs. Lots of mosquitos. Have a good fire and bring a bug zapper if you want to sit outside.
WORTH NOTING (Not good or bad)
Check-in: Go directly to the marina office to check-in. Look for the Open sign. The staff has to go help the national park boat across the way around 3:00 so nobody is in the office for about an hour at that time. Just and FYI there.
Connectivity: Verizon is non-existent. AT&T works well enough.
Sites: Basic needs. Grass and some space.

Gravel and weedy sites, but clean. Open loops with no trees. Not much TLC at this place. Bathrooms were clean. You can use the casino facilities with camping.

We have the lake view spot, Campsite 12. The ground is fairly leveled. Great view of the marina and Lake Superior. Each campsite has full hookup, a plus. There is a Trading Post nearby (walking distance) where you can get gas/diesel, etc... I recommend this RV Park. Connection: 5G w T-mobile.

Very close to the National Heritage Center which I very highly recommend. Casino and hotel is decent. The restaurant staff was nice but the food wasn’t all that great...but these are COVID times, so you get what you get. Definitely recommend this place for your Lake Superior tour. They have wifi, but the best strength.

Sites are full hook up and fairly level. Each site provides plenty of room to set up a gazebo or screened tent to sit outside. Bring mosquito repellent if you plan to have a campfire. There is a laundry facility for RV park guests to use if needed, as well. Nearby attractions include the Grand Portage National Monument, Grand Portage State Park (hiking) and hiking trails to the area high points, Mount Josephine and Mount Rose.

Just a few miles from the Canadian border, this is a cute spot for an overnighter or a few days of relaxation. We never heard the highway and the park was dark and quiet at night.
Sites are very large as they all just sort of run together in a big field. All are FHUs. We had 50 amp and everything worked well. Use of all casino hotel amenities are included.
The best part is the views of the water and the active little bay. Very pretty!
We did have a lot of mosquitos here so didn't spend the time outside we would have preferred. They put one picnic table in the middle of three or four sites so I guess whoever wants it and gets it first can drag it to their site. Fire rings at each site.
Park WiFi was okay most of the time. Wide open skies for satellite. Restaurant in casino was okay. Nice little convenience store and gas/diesel station on site. Fill up before going into Canada!
