Our spot overlooked the water from higher up, there are other spots on / close to the water for smaller trailers. On our drive out, trees were hitting the top of our rig (11 ft tall); you could tell there aren't many large rigs that come through. Golden Lake was clear / clean and peaceful. No cost since there is no water available on-site; vault toilets are there (didn't use them, so can't review). There was road noise.

No water, no dumpstation, no host. A couple of pit toilets. Not even many mosquitos!
I chose a water view site and was surprised that it there were several available (the campground was maybe half filled on a Tuesday).
People were quiet, kept their dogs on a leash.
A couple of the waterview sites were enough clear to the sky that our Starlink (laying flat on the roof of our camper) worked.
Our Verizon hotspot was equally responsive and fast which was surprising because driving here you are surrounded by thick forest and there doesn’t seem much of a civilization nearby.
Many sites are uncomfortably slanted so bring leveling blocks. There are even a couple of sites for bigger rigs (the pad is just a turnout/parallel to the road), in my case one such pad was occupied by a huge fifth wheel (even though the slide-out was sticking a bit out into the road).

Fantastic. Close to highway 2, free, at least for now, planned pads, great for RV or tent. Lots of firewood in brush piles they encourage you to burn. Nice fire pits with cast iron groups to cook on. Lots of friendly people here too fish. I was just an overnight stop.

They had just opened up on July 24 and it was free because of all the trees down in the park we were asked to burn all the wood we could to help clean up the park. Water and dump available at the Forest Park near Iron River.

One of our favorite campgrounds in Michigan’s UP. Blue ribbon trout streams nearby. The campground itself is rustic, some of the sites on the lake side are pretty slanted. Sometimes there is a campground host - very friendly couple. We make it here at least once a year.

What a great place, we paddled around, swam (no leaches!!!), watch an eagle grab a fish. There were lots of mosquitoes though.
There are 2 pit toilets, a boat launch, 2 pull through sites and then back-ins. We have a 34’ class A and we didn’t have any issues backing in, large and easy to navigate.
