Overall Rating
This is a beautifully wooded campground right on the golf course! Electric hook up only which was a treat for us as we typically boondock! We saw a mama bear and her two cubs.
Warning for the area though - the mosquitos in Golden in the summer are UNREAL! Literally couldn’t be outside without being drenched in bug spray or outside at all.
We would totally stay here again but in October 😂

Overall Rating
Stayed her 12/18 to 12/24/21. Electricity only at the campsite. Potable water was obtained at the maintenance buildinig down the road. The washroom was undergoing renovations and was not available for the majority of the stay. Did get a chance to use the facilities the last few days. The shower was hot - though not free. $1 got you 4 minutes.
There was no-one there for the most part - only 3 other campers. And there was no one physically from the campground available - but were responsive to emails. It is really a self service kind of situation. Maybe in the summer it might be different with the pro shop open, but not when I was there. There is plenty of activity by the maint folks snowplowing the area. While there we had a bit of snow drop.
I was there to ski Kicking Horse so the location was key for me. Midway between the ski area and golden BC.
You do hear the train - but for me that added to the place.
