The sites are a little small but there is a lot of real estate between sites. We stayed in site 57. Sites 60 or 41 would have been better.

Sites can be a little cramped but we were there when it was maybe too hot for most so there was hardly anyone there. The cacti are just amazing, kangaroo rats everywhere, really good place for cool desert flora and fauna. Absolutely worth a stay if around Tucson, and for $10 a night it was fab. Highly recommend!

We wished wde could have stayed longer, but they limit you to a week at a time. As others have noted, it's about 20 minutes and a beautiful drive to Tuscon, and it very close to Saguaro NP. The Desert Museum is exquisite - we loved the free flying raptor show that they do every day except Wednesdays.

Beautiful campground just a few minutes from the NP. Spots are roomy, beautiful, and have electricity. Good cell coverage. Bathrooms were clean and there’s a dump. We checked in late but check-in was very easy, plenty of spots available.

Sites are spaced apart very nicely. Watch and get one long enough for your rig, some are quite short. 30amp power only but our connection was on the wrong side and way in the back. Luckily I had 50ft of 30amp cord. The view here is amazing, great place to camp!

I’ve been here 7 days, and there are plenty of spots in the H Loop so don’t sweat it if you don’t have a reservation. Also, you can technically take any spot, anywhere FCFS if it’s available, but someone could have a reservation the next night in A or C loops. B loop is tents only and very small. There are zero sites with water hookups, but I lasted 7 days and 3 showers with my tank. You can fill up for free near the dump station when you get here. Honestly a lovely, quiet campground in a beautiful area and only 10 minutes from Saguaro NP!
Oh, and they have recycling. We stan a campground with recycling. 👌🏻

There are no hookups or showers here, but it was worth the sacrifice to stay here. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets with many hiking options nearby. Super close to the Desert Museum and Saguaro NP. Our site was tight but cozy.

This was our first time staying here. It was a quick trip. We reserved our spot. It was a quiet campground and very peaceful. Roads are paved and sites have gravel. Make sure you have leveling things to level your rig. Sites are not 100% level. There are water places all over the campground to fill up water and there is a designated place to dump your tanks. There are electricity hook ups but that’s it. Not water or sewer hookups at each site. Overall this place is beautiful and shows what the Arizona desert is truly like. There are also public bathrooms and places to shower if you don’t have that available to you. A lot of walking trails. They allow dogs but they must be on a leash. Just splendid! I’d stay again. The location is about 30 mins from downtown Tucson. I also had all bars with Verizon wireless and no issues with cell phone service.

We were here 3 years ago when all was FCFS, now mostly reserved which is fine as I plan our trips well in advance. The Sonoran desert museum was worth a 2nd visit! I also enjoyed the hike loop of King Canyon to Wesson Peak and down Gould Mine trail. Very good views! Good bike ride down McCain Rd to hwy, very light traffic. We’ll be back!
