The WSDOT placed Jersey barriers around the posted 8 hour RV rest area, preventing short term RVers from taking a break, although the homeless have moved on and the human waste has been cleaned up.

I spent several nights at the Gee Creek Rest Areas, both north- and south-bound, in 2018. Back then the south-bound side was much better in that there were usually only two or three homeless / car dwellers. Now there's probably a hundred. “Good place for an overnight ”

Overall Rating

You can park here for a quick overnight. There is traffic noise from the highway, but it is fairly distant and becomes more like white noise. Some noise from vehicles going in and out of the rest area. There’s a free dump station with potable water.

For free it’s hard to complain!
