The established sites looked wonderful as we drove out in the morning, but we hadn’t been able find one, just pulled off the road near a tree. It was very rocky but we managed to find a nice place to lay a tarp. Stars were amazing, the site was very dewy in the morning-only relevant because we decided to cowboy camp instead of pitch a tent, which I do not recommend. Road was very muddy, you want high clearance and 4wd.

Great spot just 5 miles from Williams, AZ and Route 66. I’ve been staying here off and on all summer. Most campers congregate nearer to the road but if you make a left at the first fork in the road you’ll find a pretty open meadow surrounded by pre-established back-in and pull-through campsites.
Some roads can be a little rutty but I’m in a 30’ Class C and had no trouble getting to some of the more secluded sites. Somebody actually came in and graded one of the more problematic areas while I was there. Smaller vehicles have endless opportunities further in.
As secluded as some spots feel, you’re only a mile or less from the road so there is traffic noise but it didn’t bother me.
Cell service depends on location. I had 3 bars of Verizon LTE in some spots and dropped to 3 bars of 3G in others.
Williams is very RV friendly. The Loves truck stop has the only dump I could find in town but you’ll have to stop at the 76 on Route 66 for fresh water.

Very nice spot. Road is a little rough but very doable with our 36’ 5er. Multiple points to stop with trees and prairie. Currently, June of 18, under extreme fire danger. No open flame allowed. We were traveling towards flagstaff and found this free Diamond of a place on Campendium. The other reviews provided good directions but for redundancy it was off highway 64 north of williams, az then turn off on the east side of the road on Garland prairie road just after a little bridge. We are driving a 37' Fleetwood Southwind Class A motorhome towing a Honda CRV and it was just fine to drive in. We followed others advice and went left at the little Y towards the prairie and found a nice flat open area with a fire ring someone had made previously.
We had good 4G verizon coverage and experienced no problems whatsoever out there. The area gets a little dusty but it didn't bother us at all. We actually have a failed leveling jack that I need to fix and it was level enough that we didn't even have to do any leveling adjustments.

We needed a place to boonduck near flagstaff.
As usual we checked on CAMPEDIUM and found this hidden treasure.
Plenty of space for large and small rigs. The dirt trail is not bad at all.
Not as quite as some people may prefer but we sleep like babies for two days on a rooftop tent.

I enjoyed this spot. Very close to Williams Az which has a Safeway and not much else but Flagstaff is 30 miles away. It is hard to find the road because it is not marked. Do take exit 165 from HWY 64. As one reviewer mentioned, right after the “bridge” is the turn in. It is dirt road and it has many ruts but you do need t have to go too far in to get a good spot. Do turn left at the T and I took the next left after that. Nice wide open space: I have a 28’ 5 th wheel but there is plenty of room - have seen quite large RV’s in here. Water available at Frys in Flagstaff, but avoid Paul Everett RV unless you want to get robbed. Got propane at the 76 in Flagstaff; $2.70 - seems to be the best rate around here. I would definitely visit this spot again.

An hour from the Grand Canyon and 10 minutes from Williams. Free, no facilities. A forest road where camping is allowed. There are lots of sites with fire rings. In early November it was below 30 at night. They either had a fire here recently or it looks like they intentionally burned the grass to help prevent forest fire. Was a bit smoky. Bring your own fire wood. Pack it in, Pack it out. Quite with exception of occasional train noise. Lots of room for dogs to run. No one was here when we were. Easy access dirt road. I would drive anything out here. You can camp more in the trees or more in a field. Field had 4G service.

Great place near Williams and about an hour from Grand Canyon. We have a Jucy Campervan and found the spot easily following the advice from other reviews. There are plenty of spaces and it's secluded. There were a few fire rings around. AT&T signal was good.

I only needed a 1 night stop I decided to give this boon docking spot a try. It would be my first real boon docking experience aside from Walmart. Wow! I can't wait to go back and stay longer. It was easy to find, to drive in to and locate a spot. There were rigs scattered but yet it felt as though we were by ourselves. Quiet and beautiful forest. We parked next to a makeshift fire ring, had a barbecue and a "marshmallow roasting campfire". Down the dirt road was a group of large rigs having a get-together. It was all quiet. Occasionally an ATV would drive by. Star gazing was spectacular and opening the blinds in the morning was an experience in itself with absolute privacy since there was no other rigs close enough. Went for a walk in the evening and it felt as if we were the only ones around. Great place. AT&T and Verizon both had cell coverage. We were in a Casita.
