Plenty of site and spaces. Swimming area along with a boat ramp. Very nice part of the reservoir. Entry road a little bumpy.

This was the first campsite I’ve tried out since signing up for Campendium! I’m from the DFW and was looking for something fairly nearby and this area was decent. Lots of fairly spaced out campsites with tables and trash cans. I camped there the night of 5/18/20 and the bathrooms were locked which was a bummer but understandable for the times. The views from our spot were good and there were plenty of easy lake access for swimming. The biggest let down for us was that we had some very noisy neighbors that were gigging and kept us up until 4am. But if they hadn’t been there, our experience would’ve been just fine. Get there earlier in the day to beat the day use crowds.

Drive around a bit and you'll find a big open area that is great for big rigs. The roads are rutted in places and some low branches but if you can plan your route ahead of time it's great.
We found a spot right next to the water where we could see amazing sunsets. There are large boulders next to the water that are fun to explore.
Follow the long, gravel road into the town of Breckenridge and you'll find a Walmart and few shops and restaurants.
Had no problems with cellular service (AT&T and Verizon) unboosted.

We enjoyed our stay here.
There were no other campers during our stay here and if there were, we probably would not have seen them due to the large camping area available.
The town of Breckenridge is close by, so it's easy to stock up while camping.
There are a few picnic tables and ample trash cans all over the park.
We will definitely be going back this winter.
T-mobile service was very good and Digital TV stations were plentiful.
The only 'ding' was the boating activity from across the lake from the local marina.
Sometimes the noise would carry over to our side, but it was not a major issue.
