Overall Rating
The area was extremely loud. You could hear generators running ALL night. The pavilion area had campers partying loudly until 2:30am. Then you could hear sprinklers running all night hitting things and making noise. If you are looking for a place to rest this is not it.

This place has it all! Kids can go swimming at the beach.Mom can get some book time in the shade of the trees and Dad can go fishing! You also have to check out Nalivka’s pizza in Haver 20 min east!

We did not stay at this campground actually, we stayed by the dam, but we drove around this site, a lot big, lots of RVs park here. Very clean restroom. Will stay here next time if there’s a chance.

Overall Rating
The tent camping area is set between the parking lot and the beach and it’s a popular beach with a lot of people coming and going. The sites weren’t level and the ground was covered with sharp prickly plants. We drove around for an hour in search of a better location before we just gave up and spent the night at a hotel.

This is a free campsite next to the Fresno Reservoir and dam. There's no water or electric, but there are vault restrooms that weren't too awful. It's about two miles north of US Highway 2, so noise isn't a big deal. The only cars that drove by between evening and morning were people coming to camp and the sheriff. Boat launch. Ther... more
This is a free campsite next to the Fresno Reservoir and dam. There's no water or electric, but there are vault restrooms that weren't too awful. It's about two miles north of US Highway 2, so noise isn't a big deal. The only cars that drove by between evening and morning were people coming to camp and the sheriff. Boat launch.
There are actually a lot of campsites here in a variety of locations. This one has two park-anywhere-you-want areas with picnic tables, and a more organized RV area that was a bit more level, then across the road there's another section below the dam. There's also another campground called Kiehns Bay Campground across the bridge. I checked out all of these places. People were staying at each campground (none of them had more than a couple people there) and I didn't see any signage regarding payment.
Good Verizon service.
This is a great spot if you're traveling along US-2.

I walked the whole area and could not find a dump station or potable water.
