We stayed here for 14 nights. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday, pulled into one of the two check-in lanes, picked up our arrival packet from the late arrival box with campground map and coupons for local businesses, and drove to our site. Excluding the sections that are exclusively for seasonal campers, the campground has roughly three sections. The first section you pass upon entering the park contains spacious pull-though and back-in sites that are open to the sky. The next section, adjacent to the office, is mostly smaller back-in sites within a shaded wooded area. The third section runs past and beyond the playground area, with shaded back-in sites on the west side and open-sky pull-through sites beyond the playground. All of the sites have gravel pads and grass lawns, with a fire pit and picnic table.
We stayed in pull-through site G21, a pull-through that was just long enough to fit both our 37-foot fifth wheel and 21-foot truck by parking the truck sideways across the front of the site. We put a board under the driver's side campter tires, but otherwise we were fairly level. The line of trees across the gravel road in front of the street shielded us from the sun during the morning hours, but also sporadically dropped acorns on us, which at times were pretty loud on impact. The hookups were reasonably placed, though the sewer connection wasn't threaded.
The campground has a ton of amenities: a swimming pond as well as a swimming pool, typical outdoor campground games like overisized chess, corn hole, horseshoes, shuffleboard and disc golf. They also have playground equipment for younger kids along with a sand volleyball court, a pickleball court, and a basketball hoop with a concrete slab court. The office has a small store with souvenirs and convenience items, but during the off-season it's only usually open on the weekends (a phone number is posted if you really need something). Same deal with the Fox Den snack bar, which serves food items like pizza, soft pretzels, and nachos that you can eat while playing their old arcade games or sitting on the picnic tables outside. The bathouse next to the playground has several shower stalls, some inside the men's and women's bathrooms, but also a few behind the bathhouse, likey meant for post-swim showers.
The campground is pretty dog-friendly. There are three enclosed dog areas: two near the front second of campsites and one at the end of the third section (bring your flashnight at night; none of them have any lighting). There's plenty of open grass acrss the main road from the first campground section, and there is a nature trail that weaves in and out of the campground if your dog prefers the privacy of the woods.
AT&T cell service is generally pretty bad here, particularly in the deeper parts of the campground: my 5G smartphone showed 2.5Mbps down and 1 up. I got better service on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna, but it was inconsistent: some days it would be virtually unusable, or be usable for a short period before dropping, and other days it would be good enough to stream with some pixelation (even though the bandwidth numbers were usually terrible at the time). I would have had trouble working if not for the campground WiFi: we were one spot away from the nearest repeater, and I saw speeds of 9Mbps down and 4 up.
The Halloween-themed weekends (held in September as the park closes in early October) are clearly very popular.

I would love to say we’d recommend Fox Hill as we’ve been here for family reunions for the last 4 years (after my husband growing up coming here). But after experiencing “the owner’s mom” yelling at my teen playing at the playground, I’ll have to pass and suggest a new family reunion location.
For what it’s worth: I was standing chatting with family as my son was on the seesaw. If she disliked him playing on it, there’s an appropriate way to speak to: a. Children (who are worthy of respect) b. Customers. Screaming at them and aggressively speaking to the parents is a bad way to run a business.
I was more than willing to overlook the increased prices year over year, the less than great bathrooms, + smoking at the new arcade (which is open randomly at best)…but absolutely unwilling to overlook the way people are treated. Hopefully a discussion is had moving forward so other teens feel welcome to be outside + play amongst their far younger cousins.

Large park. Some walking if you want to get to other areas. You will hear some traffic noise from the road and plane’s landing at the airport. A lot of activities fit kids. Very clean campsites. Close to Dells and other attractions

Overall: Happy with our stay and would stay again. Big sites. Small swimming pool and swimming hole (pond) to cool off. A bit overpriced for a semi-typical campground in an average area. But, pricing is always subjective. Section E is 100% in the sun (where our site was located). So, you might want to consider that if you book in section E (the newest section of the park).
I forgot to take photos here to share.
Friendliness: Much of the staff was generally nice.
Store: Had more than the typical park office store. So, some drinks and grilling items, kids toys and pool stuff. Also had tees, stickers, hats, etc.
Site: Everything worked, as it should. Generally level. Decently sized spots and living areas with nice grass and a picnic table area. Definitely did not feel on top of our neighbors, like in some campgrounds. Also, it seems that Section E was quieter than the other sections, which fit our vibe for the week.
Location: Nice location out of the busier area, but close enough to grab what you need. Not too much in the area of interest to us. But, again, generally nice.
Wifi: It worked enough for some work time. But, video calls were very glitchy and trouble downloading large files for projects.

The campground is lovely, especially the B (shaded) section. Very well maintained grounds. Good service. We ordered some packages from Amazon and when they arrived the staff delivered them to our door.
WiFi was acceptable, except for Saturday night after dark with the area around us pretty full. I'm guessing a lot of people were streaming movies and taxing the bandwidth. The rest of the time it was just fine for everythig we needed, including a video Zoom meeting.
The only downside was the showers. They are small, and have 15-20 second timers on the water flow. Temperature was okay (warm enough, but not really hot) and couldn't be changed. If you're on the road full-time (or for an extended trip) and looking for a long, hot shower, this is not the place.

Enjoyed my stay here. Disappointed about the cell service and the total lack of being able to access the internet via wireless at my site. It was only when I was close to the office that I connected to the internet. Need to add more service points.

They deliver wood to your site after purchasing from the office. We had full hook up which is nice. We are a Passport America member so we got half off the price which was great we didn't pay the regular rate of $55.00 per night.
Devils lake is near by it's a great place to hike. There were Big Blue Herons nesting in the tops of the trees in one area, you should hear them feed the babies.
We did go to the Crane Sanctuary which was nice, did some antiquing near by.
Downtown Baraboo is cute and a great Cafe called the Little Village Cafe. Great food & good wine. The best chocolate dessert you will ever eat made by the owners Jim & Christine Dickey.
