Easy access for most campers. Most of the trees within the camp were cut down several years ago due to pine beetle infestation so almost all of the sites are in full sun. The bathroom is clean but can be a trek depending on which site you take. Also, water is generally not available and is pretty rusty when it is available. I'd make the drive up to Boulder or Lodgepole for water if you need drinking water or water for your RV. Or there is water available at the Forest Service Station in Wise River if you are trying to fill an RV. Lots of traffic during the day but it tapers out at night.

“Good sized campground with full sun”

I only drove through this campground, but our 35' FW would've fit several sites and the CG had plenty of clearance to get in and out. This is a one way CG, so if you do a drive through to check it out, you'll have to exit and return to the entrance. What we liked about this CG was the full sun at most sites. An asset in the colder months of camping, when we were there September 18 and 19, 2018. Plus, if you have solar panels, that's another plus. We didn't stay because the fire ring is very close to the end of the parking apron. With our FW, we often back up over the end of the pad so this would've made having a fire impossible. Two sites at the entrance did not have the fire ring in this position, but one spot was already taken and we didn't want to park right next to them to invade their privacy when so many other campgrounds had no one in them. Fee is half off with National Parks Senior Lifetime pass - $6.
