Pulled up to Camp Host to make a reservation for a few days. Was told that campground is no longer available for individual campers. Only group camping is allowed.

Both my husband and I grew up in SLC so we went into this knowing that Ogden isn't known for being the nicest of all places. But we had to stay here. There was a cycle cross race scheduled for the next day. A race at a state park that also had camping? How could we not??!! We literally woke up and could see the start line. Our whole family was able to race!
The park itself was pretty cool with big beautiful trees and a fun fort to explore. Our kids loved the playground. There was a pond of sorts with canoes available to rent but we didn't get around to it. We had the entire camp area to ourselves until about 6:00 pm when a huge group of boy scouts moved in next to us. We were actually really happy to have them. The park was on what we called "the wrong side of the railroad tracks". It seemed a bit rough around the edges with some creepy people wondering around. The host locked the park gates at 9:00 though so that was also comforting.
backroadbennetts would stay here again

Called Sept 4, 2020 to inquire about staying and I was informed they do not do individual campsites anymore. They only handle groups. It was suggested I try North Fork County Park or Weber Memorial Park.
