Have not seen them in the campground but have seen them across the street by Torreon.

We did not see Elk when we were there in May 2019.

I didn't see any in June/July

Camped there many times and like Kathleen said, I've never seen them around camp. Deer, yes. Unlike the Mather Campground near Grand Canyon, the Elk will camp with you. :)

I suppose there could be but I've never seen one.
