Nice park. Only issue is the freeway noise. We backed up to the lake and a bright street light that takes away from the atmosphere.

I would say this park is middle of the road and not your standard Sun Outdoors. We were there in off season which I am sure had a bit to do with it. The lake was beautiful to look at. It was quiet and they do have some activities going on but not geared to kids, at least when we were there. The pool is very small. Playground is excellent. Grounds themselves are a bit outdated, including the bathrooms near the back. They are in a portable type building, they need to build another bathroom facility instead of the portable IMO. wifi is horrible, which is fairly standard for sun outdoors. Campground is easily accessible off the hwy but you don't hear any noise really which is great. definitely be picky with your site as some are literally on grass and dirt near the back but there are some really nice ones all around the lake.

The deck sites are very tight, as your “patio area” is considered in the rear of the rig, not next to your rig. The other side of the campground is much quieter

Stayed here Nov of 2021. Catching up on reviews.
Site type: Back-in, FHU, 50 AMP
Rate of $72/night was weekly package (one night free).
THE GOOD
Location: Gas, restaurants, and groceries are within 5-10 minutes.
Sites: paved spots. Grass living areas. Had some shade from trees, which is nice.
Site: Backed up right to the lake so that extended our space a bit and we could kayak right from our site.
Maintenance: Clean and nicely maintained,
Office/Store: Good sized store. Some grocery items and a good amount of RV stuff.
Facilities: Laundry was nice and worked as expected.
THE BAD:
Sites: Tightly packed, even the back-in sites.
COULD BE BETTER:
Kind of a party location, which isn't really our scene. Just worth noting. It did clear out after the weekend, so the partying was short-lived.

We live in Jacksonville and have taken our new RV here twice as we break it in. The park is right off of the Jacksonville beltway and an on ramp so you will hear road noise. Inside the RV we haven't really noticed any issue with noise.
Cell service should be good 5G on all the major carriers since it's right on the beltway. We were able to work from the RV on our T-Mobile service without problem.
They have a pretty good cafe, currently only serving takeout due to COVID. They have stopped letting day trippers in as the park recently saw an increase in COVID. I'd say they are taking the right precautions. The cafe when it's open for guests will have a Karaoke on either Friday or Saturday evening which I was looking forward to on this trip having seen it on our last visit a few weeks back, No Bueno! cafe not taking guests.
The grounds are clean and they rent various water craft. We took our dogs and had no issues. They must be on leash. We did play fetch with our water toys with them and no one said anything but I believe they have a rule against it.
There are quite a few full timers that live there as you will see riding around the park. I'd say if your visiting that it's not a bad place to stay however it's a bit pricey. Our close by go to is Suwanee River Music Park which has 880 acres with golf cart trails throughout the woods and edge of the river. Flamingo is basically in Jacksonville so there is that advantage depending on what your looking to do.
I read mad dogs review about the noise and out of the two times we have stayed there, over the weekend we haven't had any issue with noise after 10 pm which is there quite time. I'm sure it happens but we haven't seen it yet.

Nice resort next to a lake (pond?). They have scheduled activities. There is a little diner that opens for breakfast right on the water. The only drawback is that most of the good spots seem reserved for full-timers. The transients get small spots up front. Nice people, seems to be a well-run park.

The far side of the park has nice tree lots and even some on lake with some decks on the water. However, even there you can still hear the freeway. We were only there for two nights so they put us in the E space area. It is right by the freeway which is incredibly noisy as well as large high tension poles. Spaces flat with some trees. Staff were friendly and drive you to your space. There is a store and several restrooms. Can walk all the way around the lake which the dogs enjoyed. There is a sign in the office that they do not allow “viscous breeds” but didn’t specify.

We stayed at Flamingo Lake while visiting family as there are very few choices in the area. They stay very busy but we don't see the attraction. It is VERY noisy from traffic on 295. The main draw is the lake but other than that it's not a pretty park. The interior roads are narrow, bumpy and difficult to navigate in a large motorhome. The site we had was also narrow and not level. When we left we had to drive part way through other sites to get out. The only way to fit the car was to park it sideways. The sites are so close together that we almost backed our car into a neighbors lawn chair with her in it! There appear to be quite a lot of long term residents and their sites can be a bit junky. The WII FI is useless. We would not stay here again. It is way overpriced for what you get, and we had one of the least expensive sites. We stayed here in a motorhome. On a positive note – definitely get some Mayport shrimp while in Jacksonville – it's the best!
